On a previous visit, I watched an employee walk a to-go order out to a guest in the dining room. The guest opened the burger, told the employee it wasn't what he ordered, and the employee wrapped the burger back up in its wrapper, put the burger and fries back into the bag, and walked it outside to someone in the drive thru. I figured this was so crazy, it had to be a one off thing, a fluke. On today's visit, the team member who took my order was friendly, very cordial. My food came out before I even walked away from the counter after ordering (small order) and was exactly what I wanted and expected from Burger King. The play area was dirty, despite one employee saying to another that he had cleaned it. There were dead flies, crumbs, and shoe prints on the plastic bench that runs along the wall behind the tables. I could see wipe marks on one table, but there was still dried brown spots on the same table (dried soda?), and it was beyond obvious the floor under the tables hadn't seen a broom (this was around 9:40am). I watched a cook turn on the water at the handwashing sink, fill his mouth from the faucet, swish the water and spit it multiple times back out into the handwashing sink, in the kitchen, only rinse his hands, used no soap, and then wiped his hands on his apron. I watched another cook come out of the kitchen twice with food prep gloves still on (food prep gloves are always supposed to be removed before you leave any commercial kitchen, and when you return to the kitchen, you wash your hands and put on a new pair, to avoid cross contamination). Fruit flies flying around soda fountain machine (indicative of the machine not being cleaned, in or around). I passed all of this information to a manager (who was the one who took my order), on our way out, and she listened, seemed to be surprised, and said she would get right on it. Again, very friendly. There were a total of 4 other employees sitting in the dining room eating, or on their phones when we left, no other guests. If there is time to lean, there is time to clean. I won't be giving this location...
Read moreAbout 2 years ago I got deathly I'll from consuming the chicken nuggets at this restaurant. After I ate them a few hours later I felt my stomach was getting upset. My work requires me to travel to Pleasanton from San Antonio occasionally and on my way home to San Antonio I had to pull over in Poteet to throw up off the main road. I threw up on my dress shoes my slacks all over the road the grass and I threw up so much after awhile some one who lived close by came outside to check what's going on. I couldn't even drive 10 miles with out having to pull over and puke or poop. I spent the next 3 days unable to hold any fluids or food or medicines. Diarrhea and throw up was my life. I slept at my gfs house and in the middle of the night woke up to puke. Eventually I woke up to vomit and her brother was taking a shower which was on the second floor. I tried to rush down the stairway but suddenly couldn't hold it in and puked all over her mom's stairs. Embarrassed and deathly I'll I tried covering up my mess but the damage was done. Thanks burger King! Every one I know hears my story and I forbid the people I love from eating at any one of your restaurants. Also you might be asking why did it take 2 years for me to write a review? My Aunt recently got sick at your De Zavala location in San Antonio, and this sparked my old...
Read moreBelieve the reviews. They are TERRIBLE. We just sat down to eat and it is absolutely terrible. My husband ordered in the drive through and we were right off the bat irritated because one, she was rude and two, we were being rushed (it was 9 p.m.) A younger girl was at the window. We pulled up, paid and were immediately told to pull up to the door and they would get us our food as fast as they could. She later came out with our drinks and said the same thing again. We waited and she came out with one crumpled up bag and said "You guys got the grilled chicken and burger right, here ya go." We said "No, a burger, spicy, crispy sandwich and nuggets." she said yea, I said "We ordered a whopper number one, a spicy chicken sandwich number ten and the ten piece nugget." She said oh yea yea, I just didn't say nuggets and just marked it as grilled. We opened the bag and our two French fries were dumped upside down on top of everything. The whopper was good. The chicken sandwich was a piece of cold grilled chicken with slimey lettuce. Our 2 year old wouldn't eat his nuggets. I wouldn't have either because they were cold too. They were dark brown, shriveled and tasted like old peanut oil. 30 bucks down the drain. ZERO stars. Will NOT go back.
...this is more than 3 years later but, we all ended up with food...
