I was fortunate enough to happen here. I was with my boss and he bought us bagels. I had a plain toasted as is and he a cinnamon raisin with cream cheese. I devoured my bagel and promptly went back inside to order this half dozen.
The woman at the counter was super friendly. She laughed at me coming back in so fast. I told her I have not ever had a bagel this good. While ordering, I informed her I was upset as I live in Providence and cannot fathom driving to Plymouth for bagels. She informed me that in Bristol, RI there is a farmer's market Saturdays 9-2 and they carry their products. So happy!
On to the bagel though. Crispy outside and chewy inside. Great flavor without adding anything though I will have some butter now that I have them home. This bagel is like what every bagel should be. I don't want to share these with my daughter but I guess I must... Or do I?
Please, go support this small business either at their storefront or find out which market carries them near you. You won't be disappointed. They have breads as well and their menu indicated specialty breads on different days and times of the year. I...
Read moreCame to try hearth for the first time this morning at the recommendation of a few people. Let me start by saying the bagel was OK not great but it was ok. We walked in and there were people there but it wasn’t crazy. We ordered bagels and we wanted them toasted with cream cheese. I asked the girl behind the counter if we could also have them with bacon on them. She looked at me and just said “NO”. Taken aback I asked, no? What do you mean no? She again said “NO” I said you have bacon right? She replied “yes” I asked again if that’s the case could I please have bacon on my bagel to which she sighed and replied “listen man” at which point I just gave up. This was such an off putting experience. If there was indeed a reason that bacon could not be put on the bagel a simple explanation would have been more than sufficient but apparently that wasn’t possible but taking the time to sigh and say “listen man” was. I proceeded to spend 30$ on some other items regardless of this annoying interaction but this will probably be my only visit to hearth. It’s too bad as bagels are hard to come by in this area. Read moreI’ve been to bread bakeries all around the country and hearth still remains my favorite! So many great options for fresh baked bread and pastries no matter when you go in. My favorite to this day still remains to be the Irish soda bread they make near st patties day. The ginger cranberry, olive, and jalapeño cheddar are all amazing too! And their sandwiches are the best. Recently, they now started making their sandwiches on bagels which was a great move! I love that they have corned beef for a choice of meat, so refreshing compared to when breakfast places usually only have pork-based meat options. The best way to start the day is by visiting Hearth, everything that comes out of that...
