I’m updating my review because the business owner has made inaccurate statements in his response to my review.
I was in a party of 2, not 9, and the rest of his comments are both inaccurate and snarky. He doesn’t describe my dining experience.
I stand by my review - the service we received was slow, our server was inattentive, and our mediocre food was overpriced.
I’m also updating my rating, reducing a star, because instead of accepting feedback, the owner chooses to engage in an unhelpful dialogue and in a personal manner. Perhaps the owner should spend less time reviewing video feeds of his restaurant and responding to reviews on Google and more time in the front of the house setting an example for his 4 employees who spent way too much time standing around chatting instead of being engaged with their customers.

Note: this is a lunch review. I suspect that had we come for breakfast, my rating would be better.
We arrived at 2pm on a Saturday for a late lunch. We were seated promptly but nothing else about our experience was fast. The time between drink orders and our meal order was long enough but the time it took to make a chicken wrap, which appeared to consist of some thick sliced deli meat, romaine lettuce, diced tomato, and some salad dressing was really disappointing. A basic wrap with a side of chips on a plate should take no time to make and for what I paid for it, I expected much higher quality and significantly better service. We didn’t see our server throughout the entire meal, which was surprising because of how small this place is. There are limited places to eat in the area which is probably why the restaurant was busy but I can’t say I’d recommend it or that I’ll come back when we’re in the area again.
SECOND EDIT: Again, no, I’m not in the party you’ve identified in your edited response. I wasn’t wearing a black shirt and my wife doesn’t look anything like you describe. We didn’t have the meals you’re describing and both the timing and quality of the service is wrong as well. I still stand by my review. Slow and inattentive wait staff....
Read moreI came here for brunch with a few friends. The atmosphere is very unpretentious: a modestly decorated, no-frills dining area, bro-country pumping through the speakers, and water in tiny plastic cups that look like something you’d serve pudding to a 7-year-old in. All of this is fine if the pricing matches the energy, but it didn’t. Bathrooms had sandpapery 1 ply and a thick layer of dust on some of the fixtures. I can see that the $3.50 you pay additionally for three slices of pork roll on a bagel you already paid $9 or 10 for isn’t invested into ambiance or regular cleaning services. The pricing represented on the menu seems deceptive by design, and so it isn’t until you get the bill that you see how obscenely overpriced the food is.
If you forced a bot to watch thousands of hours of footage of bland table service from complacent and unenthusiastic waitstaff, then had it distill everything it learned into a simulated waitress of its own creation, you might get something a bit like Mel. It has been a very long time since I’ve encountered a person in the service industry who does so little to, at bare minimum, engage with their customer or at least try to give off the impression that they care at least a little bit what you have to say, even when it’s about a dietary restriction due to an auto-immune disease that will literally damage your internal organs if you aren’t careful.
All in all, I left feeling robbed—like I’d gotten a lesser experience than I’ve had at some local diners for about twice the price. At least the diner I go to has a clean bathroom. Looking at the reviews, it’s disappointing to see that the owner is more interested in doubling down on the aspects of their business that some folks are giving them honest feedback about than actually accepting that some things could be made better even if it is kind of a tough...
Read moreI will start by saying that this is the priciest omelet I have had in quite some time. With that said, it is also the best one I've had in quite some time. I got a Western Omelet with cheese, home fries, and rye toast with a coffee and the total was $19 and change. The server was very friendly and helpful. There was some indoor seating available but they had a very nice tented type of outdoor seating with fresh flowers around and this is nearing the end of the nice weather for the year so I sat outside to soak some of that up.
The onions were red onion and I found that a bit peculiar but they tasted good. The vegetables and ham were not uniformly cut which drove the chef in me mad, but it did not affect how the omelet ate at all. I loved that their American cheese of choice was Cooper Sharp and the eggs were not over or under cooked. I enjoyed the omelet a lot. The potatoes were Yukon's and looked like more seared roasted potatoes done in the oven than flat sliced potatoes typically done on a flat top grill. The seasoning on them was very good and they were cooked well. There was only one slice of rye halved instead of two which is typically nearly everywhere...but the bread was significantly thicker than most. It had grill marks on it as well so I am guessing that is how they toast their bread rather than using a toaster. I enjoyed the flavor of the toast a lot.
I was texting my girlfriend as I was eating saying we need to come back together so she can check out the breakfast here. I've come in the past but only really got smoothies (their strawberry banana smoothie was a small addiction of mine in the past) so now I know I really enjoy the breakfast as well. Dale's - absolutely -...
