I would never visit this hotel again, or encourage anyone to stay here. I decided to stay at the Baymont Hotel by Wyndham in Bartonsville Poconos Township in Pennsylvania on this past week. Firstly, I choose this hotel, because we would have access to their indoor pool unlike the other locations due to the COVID restrictions. My experience to say the least would be one for the books. To avoid the snow storm hitting the Northeast, we travelled earlier than originally planned and arrived at Baymont in Bartonsville approximately 8am. Upon arriving, I spoked with the Front desk staff and management explaining my situation and asked if they could accommodate an early check-in. While i know this is not guaranteed, I still wanted to make the hotel aware in case they could make an exception. They politely let me know that check-in was not guaranteed until 3pm, which was understandable as I was willing to wait patiently if needed. The manager on staff advised she could possibly check me in by 12pm; however, it was not guaranteed. Again, which I totally understood as this was an exception I was requesting. I patiently waited in the lobby for several hours(8am-12pm), to which no member of staff updated me at anytime to advise my status for checking in. Approximately between 11:20am-11:45am two new guests walked up to the front desk advising they had called the hotel at 10am and they were advised they would be able to check in early, Front desk accommodated these guests and checked them in. Again, at no time during 8am - 12pm did the front desk staff acknowledged my presence even after checking in these two guest until it was my time to check into my room at 12pm. *On last week I stayed at the Baymont Hotel in Pompton Plains, NJ where I arrived a few hours prior to 3pm check-in; I must say the front desk staff was amazing, they acknowledged me several times, provided me with updates as to the availability of my room and thanked me for waiting. Back to Baymont hotel in Bartonsville, PA, so I finally checked into my room, which was a total shocker. The beds were not properly made, the bathroom ceiling was damaged and the sofa was broken and practically sitting on the ground. So I decided to notify the Wyndham customer care team as to my experience and condition of the room. That Thursday evening, a member of the Baymont front desk staff, lets call her "P" called me to inquire about my experience, and offer to change my room. I declined as it didn't make sense as myself and the kids had already unpacked and was settled in the room. The front desk staff was very irate and annoyed that I chose to contact the Wyndham customer care staff and advised me that i would "not receive any compensation reimbursement for my stay and I could speak with her general manager". Fast forward the next day Friday at approximately 11:30am, Jill from the Baymont front desk staff decided to give me a courtesy call asking if I would be checking out on that day as they wanted to accommodate me with a late check out. When I asked who told her I was checking out she advise that the Wyndham customer care said I was unsatisfied and would be checking out on Friday. Of course I declined their late check out offer, as I had scheduled kids activities for later that day. At this point I felt I was being harassed, I had travelled approximately 2 hours from NY to PA, so that my boys could have a few fun days at the pool and enjoy some area activities; but instead I was being encouraged to leave. As soon as I hung up with Jill of the Baymont front desk staff, I contacted Wyndham customer care to confirm if they advised the Baymont hotel staff that I would be checking out of the hotel, and as I expected they did not. Finally Saturday morning was here and I packed up the boys and handed my keys to the front desk staff. I guess the hotel did not think hospitable service was due me, dropped off my keys and at no time did this member of staff say thank you for...

More like "Super H8te"
The pictures shown online are dishonest, they might have been accurate 10 years ago but at this point the place is more tired than the fryer cook on buy one get one wing night.
Speaking of greasy... The pool and the hot tub were cloudy 😬 the roof was only exposed foam with spray paint, the pool floors were full of chipping, peeling paint and every metal surface was rusty. I left wondering if I was more worried about lead exposure or tetanus. Oh and you have to check out pool towels at the front desk and return them or you'll be charged, what in the public library is that?
Speaking of places that should be quiet...crawled in bed around 9:15 and I had to turn on the TV to compete with the DJ Paulie wanna be at "The Lounge" AKA it's like if Uncle Rico from Nepolian Dynamite owned a bar.
Our floor was literally shaking from the bass, we were partially above the bar , facing the bar patio with the DJ diagonally 12 ft to our right. It felt like we were in the dollar store night club but⁷ in bed. Picture of our view of the patio and bar included
Hotels are for sleeping not for your 19 year old step son to live out his dreams of being the next Diplo.
I called down around 10:15/10:30.
Me: Hi , What time does the DJ stop?
Her: Um, 12.
Me: Wait... what?
Her: Yeah when you checked in we told you that you could get food until 10 and drinks until.
Me: You said nothing about a DJ, Its really loud in here, we can't have been the only people to complain about the bar after staying in this room.
My inside thoughts How the heck am I suppose to understand food and drink hours mean there's a DJ until midnight? Also I'm already here, I already paid you, I booked this before knowing about the wanna be david bowie bass banging DJ.
Her: No , I've never had this complaint and your above the stairwell not the restaurant.
Me: Is that really how you want to play this?
Her: We can change your room but that's it , we don't control the DJ and restaurant.
Me: It's "The Lounge by Wyndham "
Her : We can move your room.
Me: Georgina we are in bed with our stuff totally unpacked and it's 1030 at night that's the last thing we want to do. Why is there a DJ blasting music after 10 pm?
Her: We don't control the restaurant.
Me: click
Guys - I'm 36, I have a high tolerance for BS this level of BS would have gave Michael Scott's Paper Company "The Michael Scott Paper Company " a run for it's PT Crusier.
Oh and the room... dead bugs in the picture frames, stains in the carpet, peeling paint, dirty floors, wrong size toliet seat, rusty towel hooks , broken shower knob, shower frame peeling off the wall, a rusty shower head and so much more.
Check out the crime scene in the photos.
Only nice part was the location it was centric to most things poconos but still....Ew David.
If you're offended by this review you likely work there, if you've stayed there and you're offended by this review than you probably think "The Lounge" is fun and that the DJ is fire.
It's a Wyndham in name only, please don't be fooled because they sure got me.
But if you would like to stay at a place more concerned about the bar clients than they're sleeping hotel clients than this is the...
Read moreA few years ago I was staying in a Hotel in Florida, and according to me that was the worst hotel I've ever been in. So yes I was totally wrong :( this time I didn't consider some of the reviews related to one of the most important parts of a Hotel, the cleaning. Baymont by Wyndham in Bartonsville Poconos is the dirtiest hotel that I have ever been to. I've never been in a Hotel infested with ROACHES. Yes that's right ROACHES and that's not all, after seeing the first one we went to talk to the ladies at the front desk and we showed them the proof, the ONLY reason why I'm giving them 1 STAR it's because the ladies at the front desk were very helpful, and they offered me a different room right away. My reservation was scheduled to be from August 6th to the 12th but after the first night (Friday 06) I started looking for any other hotel in the area, and sadly couldn't get anything for August 7th. After searching for a long I was able to find a beautiful place to stay but it was until the 8th so I had to deal with ROACHES for one more night.
Sadly that was not the only reason why I am so disappointed. There was dust everywhere, the rooms smell really bad, it was 4 of us but they put only 2 towels, we decided to try the complimentary breakfast, but again everything went wrong, you couldn't serve yourself, a person with a Bad Attitude was serving small portions of bland eggs, chewy sausages and dry potatoes, we couldn't take a Bagel by ourselves because the same person at the counter told another guest with the same attitude NOT to touch anything, we decided to go and try to use the toaster which was really dirty, and one side was burning everyone's bagels. It was already late so we had to eat such a bad breakfast, and the next day we ended up eating somewhere else. Just to make it worse, nobody could sleep on a bed that was squeaking the whole night, every time someone was moving you could hear the noise. The pictures that everyone sees on the websites are NOT what you are going to end up seeing when you get to the hotel. Everything looks pretty good on the websites but once you are there it's totally disappointing… staying in that place was terrible, everything was disgusting. I am very upset and frustrated how it is possible for such a Big Corporation like Booking.com to advertise such a Nasty Hotel and for Wyndhamhotels.com to have the worst hotel I've ever been in. Usually if I'm visiting a hotel and I see a few things I don't like, I go to the front desk and I address the issue, but this time I decided to publish this to make sure that the people who read this won't have the same horrible experience that I and my family had to...
