If you’re planning to get Mexican food in the area, it’s not it here. The food was decent but either: plain, really salty, or it isn’t how the dish is supposed to be [all other authentic Mexican restaurants will sell the dish as it originally is while here its incorrect (certain dishes)] Also the cook/waiter(?) has no idea what on earth the food is supposed to be when we asked why the food doesn’t look like what it’s supposed to be.
The amount of meat on the food is so stingy. Barely any meat on several dishes.
Now the next problem with this place is the service, the girl was nice, but the attention and response is very iffy. I was looking around other tables that came after and they were given chips and their FOOD first before us— also were given more attention for what reason? I do not know.
Now Ive seen the reviews as well, and it looks like the owner tends to respond well at times but when it comes to honest responses that critic the food, you like to be petty to them. If you can’t handle honest comments then don’t run a restaurant that:
Also, you tried to scam the one paying for the meal?? I’ve mentioned the girl who was our waitress to be kind, but taking it back as she tried to lie about not having enough change to return and that we would have to pay thru card [Which pretty sneaky of you when you have a sign saying paying thru card is AN EXTRA PAY.] After denying paying thru card, she Magically found spare cash to exchange. Incredible.
Spare yourselves, this place is a sham and a shame. My parents, who we went with to this restaurant, are literally from Puebla, Mexico and they know how the food should look and taste as well as all other authentic Mexican...
Read more2 part review....do yourselves a favor and read both parts. Part 1 Had delivery. Even after confirmation by the restaurant. The delivery person got there to find no order even started. The "Quesidillas" were not what would be Quesidillas for any other Mexican restaurant I have experienced in any state or in Mexico. They are more like chicken tacos and bland ones at that. The minimal chicken was flavorless in stale flour tortillas with lettuce, onion, tomato and sour cream. Flavorless and unappetizing. The empanadas were dry and everything else was mediocre at best. The picture posted here is what was delivered as an order of "Quesidilla". Part 2 is now due to the rude excuse the owner made in response to my review. A bit of background I am trained in culinary arts and have had mexican food from coast to coast and in Mexico. Those of us eating the food from this restaurant all know the difference and unfortunately the meals were as described above and we found we needed to order from a second restaurant to get something to eat that we could enjoy. In any restaurant that I have ever worked in we always valued customers opinions and tried to make improvements. Reading the other poor reviews and the owner response to our poor experience makes it is clear that is not how they run their business Feel free to try it but we won't be eating...
Read moreEmbarking on a gustatory journey at TAQUERIA MEXICANITO, I found myself ensconced in a sensory symphony, where each taco was a meticulously crafted masterpiece. The al pastor tacos, a culinary opus, unfolded on my taste buds with a crescendo of flavors – an intricate ballet of marinated succulence, tinged with a hint of smokiness and kissed by the essence of culinary artistry.
As my palate pirouetted through this gastronomic reverie, I couldn't help but be captivated by the allure of the four-taco feast laid before me – a generous bounty, a culinary treasure map leading to savory bliss. The enigmatic orange sauce, though not ablaze, cast its spell with a nuanced melody of tang and spice, leaving me yearning for a tad more heat to elevate the experience to a fiery crescendo.
In the clandestine confines of this hole-in-the-wall haven, the empanada, while not entirely my preferred elixir, echoed with flavorful nuances, a gustatory sonnet that harmonized with the overall symphony. Cash, the sovereign currency in this gastronomic kingdom, held the scepter of savings for those wise enough to heed its reign.
Anticipation now lingers in the air, an unspoken promise of returning to unravel the mystery of the awaiting carnitas, adding another chapter to my culinary saga in this tucked-away...
