Edited my review for the second and last horrible experience. 2 months ago I was sadly disappointed by an “antipasto salad” made by NY pizza, and I had talked to the owner who insisted that it’s just the way they make it, which I can except, and he asked me to give them another chance, which I decided to do today and now regret. I ordered an XL pizza, buffalo chicken salad and a large order of garlic knots. The pizza is good per usual, salad was less then mediocre, but the knots were disappointing. The vegetable/ olive oil blend was old and the knots were really doughy and mushy. There was no fresh garlic, just burnt garlic at the bottom of then pan. I called and politely told them that they were disappointing and asked for a refund. The guy I talked to was very defensive and rude and told me he made them himself. I decided not to argue and told him I would bring them back for a refund which I did. When I arrived he told me not to bother coming back to their establishment because of this (I’m sorry, am I the one who messed up the food?) and I responded by telling him to cook better food and learn to take criticism better. He was still very rude and kept saying things I chose to ignore, and even continued to run his mouth as I was leaving, telling me to leave another review online, so here I am. I feel badly for the family that was dining in your establishment while you chose to embarrass yourself and everyone around you by your immature reaction. To tell someone that they are no longer allowed there because you made a mistake and can’t handle the criticism is very unprofessional. But don’t take it from me, there are plenty of other people who have taken the time out of their day to also comment about how horrible the food can be. I suggest you take an extra 5 minute drive down 611 and go to bartonsville and try Franks Pizza. They gave great food and amazing service unlike this place. To the rude guy behind the counter, I hope you find peace in life.

Original review: Food is typically good but I ordered an antipasto salad that is not antipasto. It’s green leaf lettuce with tomato red onion cucumber and carrot and then a SMALL amount of deli meat. Extremely disappointed. How can you call this antipasto? I also ordered a large pizza with half mushroom. How are you going to charge almost $2 for a HALF topping but not even put it on...

Title: A Culinary Quest at New York Pizza and Family Restaurant

Our journey began with an early morning drive from South Carolina, destined for a gymnastics camp drop-off. Little did we know that this adventure would lead us to a culinary gem. After a restful night at an AirBnB, we stumbled upon New York Pizza and Family Restaurant, a beacon of gastronomic delight.

Crossing the threshold, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting ambiance, a refuge for the weary travelers we were. The staff, our guides in this culinary adventure, recommended their famed New York style pizza. We heeded their wisdom and were rewarded with a masterpiece: a perfect blend of crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, and generous toppings.

The service was impeccable, with each dish arriving promptly, a testament to their commitment to excellence. The flavors danced on our taste buds, making the entire journey worthwhile.

In this unexpected quest for sustenance, New York Pizza and Family Restaurant proved to be a sanctuary, offering not just food, but an experience to remember. A true hero’s reward for a family on a journey.

Would highly recommend to any travelers or locals looking for a delightful...

This food is so disgusting that I am writing the review while it is still in front of me. I spent $75 on dinner at this place for a family of 5. Nothing crazy.

Chicken bacon ranch sub- mid

Chicken cutlet sub- mid

Fries- disgusting. No salt added. Not even offered as a side for your sandwiches.. you habe to pay $3 extra for them. Given to you in a closed plastic container to resulting in condensation after the 5 minutes it took to get where we were going.

Fettuccine alfredo w grilled chicken- BLAND. No flavor whatsoever. No parmesean taste. It was like they dumbed cream on overcooked pasta and slapped some weak thin chicken cutlets over it- not even a whole one at that.

Penne vodka w grilled chicken- i was so disappointed because this was my dish. It was again- a container mostly filled with overcooked pasta topped with a cheap tasting tomato sauce. It was absolutely not vodka sauce. AGAIN- Only a few pieces of thin sliced chicken cutlet.

This place had decent reviews so im surprised at the quality we were given. Dishes that most italian places cant mess up because they're typical.

I paid $17.99 for those pasta dishes and they were nothing but a rip off.

Disappointed and...

Average pizza joint. Pizza is just okay. Picked up a pie by the time I got home bottom was soggy, sauce was just okay. Calzone was terrible and overpriced. It was all puffed up with air, once deflated little to no ricotta, a personal size set me back over 9.00. Riceball for 5.99 was not very tasty. A two topping pie, a personal calzone plain cheese and very small riceball set me back over 35.00, too expensive. Staff needs some work on customer service and No Masks! All the customers had them on because of sign on door telling us we must have them on to enter. Staff hair was concerning, not tied back and no cap on cook. Front cashier server should be wearing gloves, when handling slices/food. I don't eat out very often and this is why. You would think food service In this day and age would up their game to stay in business to keep customers returning. Will not be back.
