Mirai Hibachi & Sushi — Restaurant in Point Pleasant

I have never left a google review before but really felt the need to on this one. Was excited to try a new spot in town and have never been so disappointed. My fiancee and I both had the chicken and steak hibachi diners. We both agreed on the exact same thing, the rice and veggies had the same strange taste. Its hard to describe. It was like theyre cooked on the hibachi grill with the same weird oil that gave it a terrible flavor. We honestly could not even stomach it. I dont think anyone who runs the place has ever tried their own food. They would not sell it. They just opened, but i wont spend another 50$ to find out if they change their ingredients or recipes. Excellent new addition to this side of Point Pleasant. The food I got for takeout was very reasonably priced and prepared as well as presented with care.

The yakisoba was loaded with vegetables and was a very large serving. Everything was so fresh and it was piping hot.

The sushi was extremely fresh and unbeatable for the price. Each roll was stuffed with not only delicious fish but also crisp vegetables. You can tell they care about the food and their customers and that's rare nowadays.

We used to drive to Toms River for great sushi. Mirai moved into a store around the corner from our house, and for months I have been eagerly anticipating their opening. Today is the day. We ordered two special rolls, one spicy tuna roll, kani salad and their hibachi chicken fried rice. Everything was delicious! They use fresh, high quality ingredients and put it in great packaging!
