I was excited to try this place because I love Napoletana style pizza. My whole family is from Italy and I have been going to Italy my whole life and that's how we like our pizza. I went in with my friends and I was hoping to sit inside since a huge storm was coming. They said they only had outdoor seating available so we thought we wouldn't be out there too long so it wouldn't matter. It took about 20 minutes for a waitress to show up. When we tried ordering the wine we were told someone else is coming for that. Mind you the hostess would usually explain how things worked as you are being seated but no explanation. So our waitress comes to our table and doesn't say hi or how are you doing. She goes, "are you ready?" Felt like we were being rushed to order. So we put our order in. She didn't even ask if we wanted water or sodas. Honestly I didn't think they had anything. After 15 minutes we got water and got our wine and then we waited for our pizza to arrive. While we were waiting we noticed other tables getting bread and oil. We never got that and were super disappointed since the table next to us got 3 baskets of bread. As we were waiting, the weather was getting worse. At this point we were waiting 45 minutes. So instead we asked to wrap our pizzas up and paid so we could leave before the storm got worse. When I went inside to speak to the hostess I noticed a bunch of pizzas sitting underneath lights to stay warm. I guess our pizza was sitting underneath that lamp which makes no sense since it ended up being an hour wait at this point. As I was inside I overheard a waitress tell a customer they were out of cups. HOW? We finally paid and left this restaurant. Once I got home which is a two minute drive home I finally tried the pizza. The pizza was cold, doughy and had a horrible after taste. It was super heavy too which is not Napoletana pizza. Super disappointed with everything. I will not be back. Not wasting my time or money at an establishment that can't even handle a busy pace and is very unorganized. It makes sense why they don't do take out because they probably couldn't handle it. Don't waste your money on this place. Rosie's in Point Beach is SO MUCH better.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Woodshed Pizza Delivers on Every Level! Incredible Food, Warm Hospitality – A Must-Visit in Point Pleasant! If you're looking for an exceptional pizza experience in Point Pleasant, Woodshed Pizza is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we could tell this place was something special. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a rustic yet modern design that makes you feel right at home. The centerpiece of the restaurant is their massive custom pizza oven, which adds to the charm and excitement of watching the pizzas being made fresh to order. We ordered the Margherita Pizza and the Cranberry Spinach Salad, and both were incredibly good! The Margherita Pizza was a perfect balance of fresh ingredients, with a light and crispy yet chewy crust, flavorful tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil. Every bite was packed with authentic flavor, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The Cranberry Spinach Salad was just as impressive—fresh, vibrant, and well-balanced with the right mix of sweet and savory. The combination of spinach, tart cranberries, nuts, and a delicious dressing made it the perfect complement to the pizza. What really made our experience even more memorable was the amazing ownership and staff. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even took the time to chat with us—including giving special attention to our newborn baby! It's rare to find such a family-oriented restaurant where you truly feel valued as a guest, and that level of kindness and hospitality did not go unnoticed. The attention to detail at Woodshed Pizza is impeccable, from the ingredients to the cooking process and the overall experience. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the Jersey Shore, this is a spot you don’t want to miss. We’ll definitely be coming back for more! ✅ **Delicious, high-quality pizza** ✅ **Warm and welcoming atmosphere** ✅ **Friendly and family-oriented ownership** ✅ **That incredible custom pizza oven – a must-see!** Highly, highly recommended! 🍕🔥

My best friend told me Woodshed Pizza was his dad’s favorite spot, and after hearing so many people love it, I had to check it out. Now that I’ve been, it’s my new favorite restaurant at the Jersey Shore. The second I walked in, the staff and owners made my girlfriend and I feel right at home. Everyone was super welcoming and friendly. The vibe inside is so relaxing and nice, it’s awesome being able to watch the pizzas being made right in front of you. We grabbed seats at the wine bar and started with a glass of their rosé, which was fantastic. They brought out some bread and olive oil to start, and both were so good. For the appetizers, we had the meatballs and the limoncello wings. The meatballs were unreal—probably the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The meat was flavorful, the sauce was rich, and the ricotta on the side brought it all together. Don’t let the sauce go to waste. Dip the bread they give you in the sauce. You won’t regret it. Now the limoncello wings? I didn’t even know those existed, but I’m obsessed. Sweet, tangy, perfectly cooked—they were everything you’d want in a wing. I’d honestly eat them every week if I could. For pizza, we ordered the Vodka Burrata and the Speziata. Both were cooked perfectly with a nice charred crust. The Vodka Burrata was creamy and full of flavor, but the Speziata was my favorite. The mix of honey and soppressata was next-level—sweet, spicy, and savory all at once. If you’re anywhere near the Jersey Shore—whether you live nearby or you're just visiting—you have to stop by Woodshed Pizza. Incredible food, friendly staff, and an overall awesome experience.

In response to the owners reply, I understand my overall rating of 2 stars might be misleading since the pizzas were delicious, therefore, I have happily increased the stars at the owners request. My review of the wine bar ice tea remains the same. In regard to the wait time for food, to be accurate, I did not state it was an hour. I stated almost an hour. This was from the time the order was placed with the waitress to receiving the food. It was not 31-33 minutes as suggested We might have to agree to disagree. Most importantly, the pizzas were delicious and well worth the wait. I completely understand the many pressures involved regarding the start up of any new business/company and the importance of receiving a good base of consistent happy customers who pass on their positive experience to others, as well as, the importance of receiving great reviews even though they might contain some constructive criticism(s) which could possibly prove helpful. I wish all of you the best with your new restaurant and look forward to returning and trying other menu items.

We finally tried Woodshed Pizza and we have several different ratings. -ZERO stars- We are not soda drinkers so we drink unsweetened ice tea instead. Only soda can be ordered from pizza section/side of the restaurant! Ice tea can only be ordered from wine section/side of restaurant which now means that you have to pay for ice tea separately! We ordered two unsweetened ice teas with lemon and received two ice teas without lemon and now had to wait again for someone to come back to the table to ask for lemon. The ice tea was served in a small stemless type wine glass loaded with ice so we had approximately 4-5 sips and the glasses were empty already. Really?! And for the cost of $4.00 each, again to be paid for separately. Then the wine person came over to bill us for the two ice teas and she said if you pay Cash we won’t charge you the tax. What’s going on here? Is the State/IRS aware of this? The ice tea should be offered from the pizza side of the restaurant in a normal ice tea size glass/tumbler so everything can be paid for at the same time on the same bill. -2 STARS- For the extremely long wait for two pizzas. Although the two owners and waitress came to our table individually several times or more to nicely apologize for the long wait stating they were still training people, we were told by all of them that it would be just a couple of minutes longer several times. After waiting almost an hour for two pizzas we finally received them. -5 Stars- When we finally received the pizzas they were delicious and we did enjoy them and again the owners were very apologetic. Although this restaurant recently opened in I believe July, they are certainly still going through growing pains and they definitely need to rethink the ice tea situation and serve/offer it from the pizza side of the restaurant in a normal size ice glass/tumbler. We will definitely give them some more time to work out the kinks because the pizza was delicious and the owners & waitress...
