House of Bennys is what every new breakfast restaurant should strive to be! You will find many of the classics here, however it seems they are known for their - you guessed it - Eggs Benedict dishes. There are multiple to choose from, as well as many other incredible breakfast dishes. It’s hard to say which Benny is my favorite, but almost all of my friends like the Country Style the most! And the stuffed French toast is to die for! I’ve also had lunch here many times. Their salads and wraps are very fresh and perfectly portioned. I really enjoy the variety of options you can choose from, and the speed of their service is EXCELLENT - especially on those days where I’m in a rush. They are always rotating out their “Specials” menu, trying out different recipes and dishes. As a person of habit, this is one place that I order off the specials menu more often than not. One thing I was not expecting was the sweets & desserts options! Different types of cakes, cheesecakes, cannoli, one of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had…. Blows my mind that a local breakfast spot could also offer some of the best dessert in this area. It’s no secret that House of Bennys has excellent food, fresh options, great service and a relaxing atmosphere. Though I enjoy all of these things, I think my favorite quality this place has is their community engagement! Since opening, I have seen their name involved in many different fundraisers, including some big ones for the local school districts. This is definitely the type of place that you want to bring your family and friends when they visit from out of town. Hands down the #1 breakfast spot in our area!

Good food, great service. The dining room environment is pleasant, clean, and well decorated. Even though I got breakfast on a Sunday, which is the busiest day of the week for them, they handled everything about my experience well, and with cheerful efficiency. I do recommend getting a reservation, if you want to make sure you get in without waiting - which you can do easily from your phone. My server was lovely, and the owner seems to truly care about her business, which is refreshing. Also, the weekend special menu was super fun and unique!! Really cool stuff, this weekend included a benny on plantains, and other fun seasonal flavors (like pumpkin pancakes/waffles for fall, etc). I look forward to returning, and to try something different every time I go back! If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Consistently good food and slow service. The place has an assortment of art on the walls and looks like it belongs in an old downtown location, yet it isn't. The layout is different than the norm. There are traditional tables and booths, as well as large hightop tables (that usually aren't used). The waiting area is split, with a bench in the front and comfortable seating in the back. There's a coffee and tea station that doesn't appear to be used by anyone, customer or staff. These quirks contribute to the slow service but also the charm. Come enjoy a meal, but don't expect to get out quickly.

We won’t be back. I wentto lunch with three other ladies. The food was good. My bacon was barely cooked but in all fairness I didn’t send it back. Two of us did not get our drinks until after our meals came. We tried to flag down our waitress but we never saw her to flag her down. That’s a great way to give less refills. As we were getting ready to leave I had a small box of cookies from my daughters wedding for my cousin. She handed the box to the other two ladies and said take a few home with you. While they were looking at the cookies one of the ladies popped a small cookie into her mouth. The waitress came up and said I am sorry but you are not allowed to bring you own food into the restaurant. I said oh that’s fine they were just going to take a few home, is there any chance we could get a bag or box for them to take some home with them. She said she would get them one. When she walked away one of the ladies mentioned they have gone to restaurants that have that rule in the past and how they never go back if they are told that. I mentioned maybe it’s health safety related because if someone would get sick after eating there they wouldn’t know if it was due to the cookies. Everyone agreed that was a possibility but we were not sure because the waitress didn’t say. There was another lady who came to our table, she may have brought the bills. Previously before the cookie came out someone asked if she was the owner. So one of the ladies asked if she was the owner and she said she was not. We did not ask to see the owner. A couple minutes later the owner came flying out of the kitchen and yelled at us for eating the cookies. She said the other girl saw someone eating a cookie. We tried to explain that she popped it in her mouth before we were told but there was no hearing it. I told her the other girl was bringing us a bag to take them home. She continued to to yell at us telling us she could charge us a $50.00 fee and how the BOH doesn’t allow it. I said that we were adults and that we understood and that we only needed to be told once and we didn’t need to be yelled at. She continued to make a scene in her own restaurant saying she heard us still talking about it after the other waitress walked away. She was right but we were actually talking about other restaurants that don’t allow it. Regardless it was a private conversation at our table. Since when are you not allowed to have a conversation at a restaurant. We will not be back! Not because we couldn’t eat a cookie we brought but because the owner came out yelling at us and treating us like we were doing something awful. When in reality we complied as soon as the waitress told...

Good food, not so good for large parties. I have eaten at House of Benny’s over 20 times. I always order the eggs Benedict and it consistently comes out delicious. I do not recommend their lunch items. When I had family come into town for my graduation, it was a no-brainer that I wanted to bring them to House of Bennys. I called a week in advance and made a reservation for 12 people. The morning comes and my party of 12 is shuffling inside the building, quickly filling up their small waiting area and inadvertently standing by guests who are eating. We state we have a reservation and start making our way to the table they had set up for us. The person who greeted us automatically states that they cannot seat us until the whole party is there. I said the whole party is here and she backed off. Our server was rude and abrasive, especially to my mom. This created a tense environment for me and my guests. Everybody commented on how the server was acting. After breakfast, I opened a few graduation gifts. One of these gifts included a trip to Greece! I couldn’t contain my excitement as I walked around the table to hug and celebrate with my mom. Once I was done, I noticed there was a different server with plates and I stood out of the way to let her pass until I could return to my seat. The server then shot me the dirtiest look and rudely said “go back to your seat.” I did attempt to voice my concerns later but was informed I should have brought it up during that visit. Otherwise there is nothing they could do. I did not feel comfortable addressing this rude behavior in front of my 11 guests. It wasn’t the time or place. Additionally, I didn’t see any other workers in the restaurant except for the 2 rude servers and cook. I felt like a group of this size was a major annoyance. Regardless of this poor experience, I still return for the good food. I just keep my parties to 4 people or less.

Edited to respond: I received a text message a couple days before to confirm my reservation. There was even a table for 12 already set up when we arrived. You must have mistaken me for...

We had family in from out of town for my daughters graduation and made a reservation for 12 at 11 am on April 13, 2024. When we arrived, the table was set up for us. We started to head over to the table and I noticed 2 servers watch us and roll their eyes. Immediately, one of the servers approached us and said “you can’t sit down until your entire party is here.” I informed her that we were all there and we began sitting down. My niece was standing near the end of the table waiting for others to get situated before taking a seat. The server rudely said to her “Why don’t you just sit down”. She then said that there would be a delay in taking our orders because she did not want to overwhelm the kitchen. Seventeen minutes later, she began taking our orders. 38 minutes later, the server began delivering our food. There was a general snarky attitude from her and other staff. For example, our server said excuse me to me 3 times while setting down my OJ. I really do not know why. I was not blocking her or moving around. I had added sausage to my Benedict but there was no sausage when my food was served. I told the server about the missing sausage. I began telling her that it was ok and that I really didn’t need it. Just be sure it wasn't on my bill. I did not get to finish telling her because she quickly turned away and went back to the kitchen. When I was almost done with my meal, the server came out with 2 sausage patties and set them beside me. She had not come to check on us the entire meal. The others enjoyed the food. My food would have been good except it was cold. Nobody complained but everyone noticed the attitude that the wait staff had. This would of been a wonderful outing if it were not for the attitude of the wait staff. We all felt uncomfortable. It was obvious that the employees did not want us there. If you have more than 2-4 people in your party, I suggest you...
