I'm honestly stunned at this point how terrible the service is here at the 1510 Maine St Poland, ME location. It's almost like they're trying to irritate and lose customers, and I'm contacting every branch of the corporate offices that I can reach. This morning I was waiting in the drive thru for so long that I was almost late for work... again... like they did to me before. I just ended up driving off without my order so I could punch in at my job just in time to be a minute late, this has happened too many times at this Poland, ME location as another customer did the same. I watched the person making my large iced black coffee through the window taking several minutes on my coffee, seriously, it's just coffee and ice... that's all it is. After I left work this evening I bought a cheeseburger just so I could take the survey on the receipt so hopefully someone somewhere in corporate McDonald's would see how pissed I was and how terrible the service at this store is, and how it still hasn't improved since I had a lobster roll literally thrown into a bag a few months back throwing lobster meat and lettuce all over my fries and napkins. So I placed an order and watched everything I could see from the counter and, oh boy! There were multiple employees not wearing hair nets or hats, employees leaning on what should be sanitized food surfaces, employees just meandering around while the lobby filled up, and I was watching one employee without a hat, but with a mouth full of food just chomping away while he casually wandered over to the burger heating area... still chewing whatever he was eating. I'm appalled at what I witnessed today, especially after the failed drive thru attempt of an order this morning! I'm so happy that Hannaford opened up across the street, now I don't have to settle for this McDonald's when I don't feel like making brown bag lunches for work. I'm contacting the highest corporate office that I can reach, and I am very disappointed...
Read more5th of July, Friday night at midnight, I arrive at their drive thru window. Order board lights out. I dive up to the 1st window and see a guy dart away as I pull up. There is a SUV in front of me getting their food through the 2nd window, so I assume they are still open, also I checked their Google listing before I left my home and it states that they close a 1am and that they were still open. I sitting in my truck at 12am, an hour before they close and customers in an SUV in front of me getting the food, so I was confused and decided to park and go inside, thinking the were closing the drive thru early. I pull on the front door and 4 employees standing inside look over at me and then go back to talking to each other. The door is locked and no one will acknowledge me because I wanted to know why they are closed early. Nope, they could care less. So I go next door to the gas station convenience store and pick up some chips and milk, etc. Within minutes 5 young girls walk in and are saying, what are we going to get since McDonald's is closed. Needless to say I was one of several people who expected the restaurant to be open as their Google listing and their Facebook listing said it was still open. So I called the McDonald's and asked why they were closed at midnight and the manager said they were short staffed... I didn't buy that excuse because there were 4 employees standing around chatting when I arrived. This is 4th of July weekend and they decide to close early, while people are still out and about hoping to get something to eat on the way home. I read all the other reviews about this McDonald's before I decided to submit my experience as it seems to be par for the course with this restaurant. Worst location ever. Read moreThree times in the last month I have ordered a frappe on my app just to be told their machine is being cleaned or down. The app needs an update that will let you know if something is unavailable. Nothing worse than driving somewhere to pick up your order only to be told they don't have the capacity to make the things on their menu. Not only did I waste my gas but I wasted my time... For the third time this month. Get it together! You are a multi-billion dollar corporation. Fix your machine so people can order frappes and McFlurries... Otherwise take them off your menu! 🙄
Update: Here we are 6 months later and the ice cream machine STILL isn't working at this location.
Update #2: Well here we are a year later... We are in the tail end of summer and I have yet to be able to get a frappe from this location this season. I just tried again and as usual was told that the frappe machine is down. I don't know if they just have a bad owner at this location who won't fix it... Or if the staff doesn't like making them? Maybe they turn the machine off early because they are pain to clean? I don't have the answer but I wish I did. It's crazy work not having your frappe machine operational... during the summer particularly! I feel like NOBODY reads these reviews and the owner just...
