Very good food court but limited selection. The best buy is the hot dog and a drink for $1.50. Also pizza, whole or by the slice. Smoothie, ice cream sundae, and a chicken bake.

Costco. The favorite shopping destination of the entitled upper middle class. Bastion of overconsumption and disposability. Nothing screams affluence like a car filled with enough food to feed your family of four for 6 months, most of which will be discarded by the end of a couple of weeks. All of these things are truths, but it's not all bad...

There are deals here, on non perishable and sometimes high consumption goods. Like toilet paper, detergent, and canned foods (or low perishability foods.) The quantities purchased are pretty bonkers but the price per unit is often really good. The question really arises when you think to yourself "how much of product X do I need, and can I consume all of this before it goes bad?" There's plenty of cases where this math works, and works well.

The gas. This alone is worth the price of membership. Dealing with the average Costco member maneuvering their bmw SUV in the gas corral is a whole 'nother story and almost makes it not worth the savings. Almost. These days, with gas prices being awesome and the dollar becoming yet another scrap of toilet paper, the cost savings are very much worth it

Parking at Costco isn't bad... As long as you're not an entitled idiot that feels some kind of unseen competitive pressure to park as close as possible to the entrance. Often there are open spots just twenty yards away but nothing screams success and validation of life choices like that marginally closer spot. Never mind that you choked up traffic behind you for twenty minutes waiting for the person loading their groceries to finish so you could take their spot. It's entertaining to watch, so that's a plus.

If you happen to be one of those poor souls who is just trying to pack your groceries into the car and safely back out of a spot, then good luck to you. You are reviled and vilified, cursed for being too slow and glared at from behind the safety of blue blocker sunglasses.

But the shoppers are hardly innocent. Crossing the street wherever they please, holding up traffic as they maneuver their glorified pallet jack stacked with groceries in the middle of the street, taking their sweet time to create the perfect grocery Jenga tower in their mammoth SUV.

Inside the store is no different. Entitlement, pushing, yelling, passive aggressive behavior, cursing and muttering obscenities... And that's just the line to pay.

Costco isn't for everyone, that much is true. But it can be for you. Just park a little further. Be kind to your fellow humans. Shop intelligently, quickly, and efficiently. Do these things and be in the top 1% of Costco shoppers. Or not. Just don't get mad at me - I told you what it's like.

There are plenty of alternatives to Costco, like Sam's club and BJs, but they're all the same as far as the shopping experience and, in my opinion, Costco offers the better selection and often pricing. The membership is reasonable (get the basic membership, the executive is a scam) and the gas alone is worth getting involved. Also worth noting, this Costco is actually slightly better than a lot of the other ones I've been to, in terms of the shopping experience and the people who shop there. I don't know if it's maybe because of something in the water up in Palm Beach county, but the level of entitlement at those Costco's is literally the next level. So yeah, this Costco is bad but not the worst.

Good luck, shopper, and good hunting. Your mileage, as...

I visited the Costco food court and ordered a pizza, hot dog, strawberry sundae, and chicken bake, but faced a long wait. After 30 minutes, they gave away my chicken bake to other customers and informed me I’d have to wait an additional 15 minutes. I opted for a refund, which they promptly provided. During my wait, I observed the food preparation process and noticed that the staff member handling both food and cash did not change her gloves. The openly visible kitchen and the minimal staff of only three workers made these shortcomings particularly noticeable in such a busy...

We go there a few times a year, it's pretty good, my issues are the following, they have annoying ice cream rules, I hate staring at how mechanically the pizzas are made, the sauce comes out of a can and is spread like ketchup. It's all machines.

Coming from Canada is miss not being able to have fries and walking out with a waffle soft serve cone. Canada has the better Costco food courts, it's not even close.

However the hotdogs are fantastic in both countries. Canada however does not offer...
