China Garden — Restaurant in Ponce

Mixed bag but mostly good.

China Garden is the unexpected Chinese restaurant right next to Denny's. The place actually looks clean, which is nice.

Now, I ain't gonne lie: the rice was delicious. It was the best Chinese rice I've had in Ponce. The chicken was good too (apparently they use Puertorican chicken, so a plus in my book).

I really enjoyed the meal. If only it had been what I had ordered, it would've been perfect.

I asked for vegetable rice and they gave me normal meat rice. Another thing is that I asked for a meat (chicharrones de pollo) and they didn't have it. Now, I get it, they probably ran out. But still, I left with my craving intact.

Other than that, service was decent.

When ordering during my visit, you could hear the cooks in the back bickering over the food and other stuff. It's kind of funny, but for some people, it might be a bit cringe.

Overall, nice place to visit if you like Chinese and Asian cuisine. Make sure they get your order...
