The coffee is Amazing the food is great, the service was slow today... I went to brunch with my gals today.
When we ordered a Mayorca with jam and cheese, they were out, everyone knew except the person that took our order. Then we receive the mimosas that we ordered five minutes later an associate is walking by us calling our name with more mimosas, the baristas were confused and made the order again...
Later I order a cortadito and 15 minutes go by I ask the manager for the coffee and she realized that her barista was 10 tickets deep and alone. The manager begins to help her associate and things start flowing better, until I go and ask for a refund on another order of mimosas that I waited for a about 25 minutes, we had to go.
That's when the manager lost it. She came to give me my refund and she asked the cashier if the order was even payed for... She had my ticket in the hand... Then she was out of singles and she ran upstairs and started slamming drawers and banging on things... Finally she gave me my refund.
I will return, however the service was slow due to management, the associates where doing their best but due to poor leadership the customers where penalized and forced to wait 20 minutes for coffee. I will return to the...
Read moreThere are not a lot of options for vegans. However, today I got the opportunity to enjoy a veganized fruit salad (blueberries, strawberries, green apples, pineapple, blackberries, papaya, banana, kiwi) topped only with coconut flakes (the original includes a non-vegan yogurt) and a frozen chai with almond milk topped only with cinnamon (the original includes whipped cream and cow milk). Their service was quick maybe because there were only a few people; I don't know what happens when there's a lot of public, though. They have a menu of cakes, inside which there's only a vegan chai-based cake; although, today it was not available. Vegetable salads originally include bacon and cheese but you can order them with those out; the same thing goes for the sandwiches. The menu has somewhat variety if you are not vegan, but if you are, just be sure to let the employees know to replace or remove the ingredients that intrude into your meal. The interiors are quite attractive and there are also comfy seats. Soon there will be other localities...
Read morePonce's main coffee-shop that's honestly more of a "breakfast-themed restaurant" than an actual, fast coffee shop.
Coffee house is a staple of Ponce, and a great place to take shelter from the heat. One of the few places were I can trust the food quality, and just sit and relax without really worrying.
Everything I've had here tastes fresh and delicious. Prices are decent as well.
I've taken my family and they've loved it too.
Service is good most of the time. But do keep in mind, they are slow here. If you're trying to get your time's worth during your 1 hour lunch, you'll probably be disappointed because they are slow. 30-45 minute wait time on average.
If you wanna enjoy it here, you must come here with the mindset of chilling for a while, or you'll be fuming watching the time fly by.
Overall, this is one of Ponce's most famous coffee shops for a reason. Worth a visit if you're passing by Ponce or any other moment. But only if you have the time to...
