We came here because of all the great reviews and how good the food looked but dinner on a Wednesday night took almoat 2 1/2 hours. Our waitress had very long hair with red streaks in it and we hardly ever saw her. She was constantly behind the bar having drinks, every 2 minutes she coming out of the kitchen munching on something all while it took 20 minutes for her to grab us a can of coke and a bottle of water. Everything about the night was excruciatingly slow. Pez Globo which was supposed to be a rather quick appetizer still took another 30 minutes to come out and they're just fried cheese balls. I got what's called the captain which is just 2 tacos. The guacamole looked like it's from a bag (you know that weirdly smooth kind that's also darker than usual). The steak on the tacos and the white sauce was very tasty, just should never have taken 2 hours to make. Within 15 minutes of food being on the table we were done eating. So yes food tastes good, looks amazing, but extremely slow service and you have to ask for EVERYTHING like straws, napkins, refills,...

Loved the fish tacos (tropical). Also got Pez Globo and those were so yummy. I put them on my tacos and it was next level. Drinks are tasty and strong. It’s right across from a park and the Caribbean Sea. Parking was easy and sitting outdoor was a nice although there are a few times I felt forgotten about while outside. No complaints though because it was busy and food and drinks were fresh and 10/10.

Update: 3/9/24

Found ourselves in the area again and stopped in for another fantastic meal and even better service thanks to Monica. She was so kind and attentive and recommended a delicious drink “La Playa” with gin, strawberry and cucumber. It tasted like a jolly rancher. Hector was also very personable. Thank you guys for another...

Best to take your business elsewhere. Slow service and super salty food! My fish was overly salted which I notified the server after a couple bites. I tried shredding the fish into the salad to dilute the saltiness to no avail. I also found the beans salty. Apparently I didn’t flag them down fast enough as they didn’t cycle thru for another ~10mins, but by that time I wasn’t interested in a replacement. So they charged me for the meal. Appetizer (cheese balls with guava sauce -was good) came late and the water my mom asked for never arrived. Took 45 mins to get our 2 fried fish takeaway tacos. Drinks have too much ice. Not my first time nor second time at this location but it will be the last. My people, do...

Food and drinks here are excellent- some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The menu is hard to find however, because the QR code did not work. Search La Boya menu Facebook, and the current menu pops right up. I recommend looking at the menu ahead of time and ordering all of your food and drinks at once. If you order drinks first, it will take forever to get your food order placed. Also make sure you order appetizers and entrees at the same time, unless you are planning on spending 2 hours + on your meal. The servers are very nice, but they do seem busy and weren’t checking in on the tables regularly. The food is good enough to justify the wait however. 5 stars for food and 3 stars for service, so 4 stars overall.

This place is beautiful. The location is not the safest, but the door has a lock and only the servers will open the door. It’s a local spot with the best fresh fish that they catch the same day they serve it. The restaurant also sells T shirt that are spf safe. I got the fish tacos and we shared an entree. The passion fruit mojito was killer and the bartender was very creative with her drinks. We had a driver bring us here and wait until we were done. As I mentioned, a lot of locals come here, so it’s authentic local food. It’s also perfect for all your Instagram photo needs. Loved it!
