The food was mediocre at best and the wait quite long. It was very loud in there, people yelling at the bar and socializing belligerently loud I'm not one to complain about trivial matters like this but with such a small place it was quite intrusive to the point were I had to yell to have a conversation with my father. As for the prices it was a joke some 18 dollars for mofongo and 17 dollars for for a pollo la plancha. I pay less for the same food in south Fl lol. I'm quite well traveled in Puerto rico and can say the food is outrageously over priced for what you get especially being on a backroad in a barrio. I've had the same food much better for a quarter of the price at many other establishments in better locations all over PR. If your a tourist they will most certainly try to price gouge you. I would stay away from this place if you are here on vacation and go spend you money elsewhere as it...
Read moreWe stop by this place because we were told that their empanadillas were huge and really good. We walked in about 12 pm and the place quickly got packed. Almost no tables available by 12:30 We were told to sit and order the empanadillas. We sat down and they ignored us. The waitress took orders from the group that came in after us. The foods that were coming out looked amazing. Huge plates of foods. Most people orders prior to arriving so their foods were out the door as soon as they sat down. We ordered three empanadillas and had to wait 30 minutes for them. I got the mariscos one, only had carrucho and pulpo and it was dry. They were not all that much bigger than others I have had here. My husband got the langosta, that one had sauce, like the stew the langosta on onions and peppers. It was ok I hoped I would have order an actual meal. Meals looked...
Read moreAppetizer - tostones rellenos was great, even for $15. The restaurant is located in a not very beautiful part of Ponce, so they should be a much less expensive place. I had seen some beautiful pictures of the langosta relleno (stuffed lobster) so I decided to get it even though it was not priced on the menu. I knew better than to order something “market price” without as what the cost was but I figured in such a dumpy place how much could they possibly charge. Well the answer was $74! Wow! At first I laughed it off saying shame on me for not asking but the next day it annoyed me a bit more, especially since the seafood that was stuffing the lobster was not fresh but just came out of the freezer and the lobster was over-cooked. Definitely would...
