I had not been to this restaurant in a while and had always loved it. We were in Pontiac and decided to stop for lunch. It was 12:00 and the food was cold. I was also not impressed with the staff. No one greets you, it's just " how many" throw your silverware on the table " drink" and away she goes. She had seated us at a very cramped booth and my husband is a big guy so we moved our silverware to the table next to us. When we came back from the buffet our silverware was gone. We had to get our own and wait for her to realize we were there and get our drinks. The food was cold, all of it. We ate very little and paid $25.90 for cold food. Plus the tables were old and the tops of them were bubbled and coming off in places. The chairs where sticky and old looking. Years of hearding people in and out and not keeping up with the restaurants appearance. It's definitely overdue for a make over and they need to check their food temps. There's no reason food should be cold at 12 O' clock....
Read moreIf you're looking at reviews to see if you want to eat here, don't. Go to the Baby Bulls down the road. At least their food doesn't feel like it comes from whatever ice is left in Antarctica. Their food is obviously heated up from the day or even week before. They barely speak english here and once, they were yelling across the restaurant. Very romantic. At this point, McDonald's Cheeseburger sounds just a little more appetizing and I'm allergic to beef. In all seriousness though, they rarely fill your drinks up. The counters are sticky, yes, because they don't know what a sponge is. Their oreo cake tastes like chicken, probably from cross contamination. Honestly though, if you're like me, sitting here looking at reviews, welcome to the club. How is this a chinese resturaunt when they went to their local Dollar General and bought some Ruffles and Cheeto Puffs. My dog makes food more eloquently. 1/10000 would not recommend. Would put 0 stars if I could. (Do Not...
Read moreI've gone both during peak times and after the rush, and it just never came anywhere close to acceptable. You'll be seated whenever one of the employees feels like coming to the counter, served your preferred drink in a cup that always smells and tastes a bit too much like bleach, and left to your own devices when it comes to finding food that isn't fossilized. Okay, that last bit might be a slight exaggeration. Even during my absolute longest visit, almost an hour, the trays remained empty or full of cold old food. I've never seen an employee exchange or refill them. Obviously it happens, but far from often enough. The decor is a tad aged, atmosphere is middling, but you'll have a hard time recalling anything about your visit except for how you gagged down some chewy lukewarm honey chicken because you wanted to get your money's worth. It's a shame that there are few other Chinese...
