Very satisfied with Christian. Very thorough, considerate, thoughtful, explained what he had done and good work ethic. Did a great job .. fixed our problems. 4-27-22 We have had Popejoy’s here a couple times in the past couple weeks regarding our kitchen stove and our furnace. These gentlemen were kind, considerate, helpful, neat and took great care by wearing shoe cover while in our home. No matter how many questions/concerns we had they had an answer and were very accommodating. We were very pleased with the service. We had Christian, Dennis, Jason, Don and Cody here over the past couple weeks and they were all excellent representatives of Popejoy Plumbing, Heating & Electric. Their service is top of the line.
6-17-23 Scott Peters came on a Saturday to check our AC. It was an after hours appointment and we appreciated his promptness and knowledge and experience and personality. We use Popejoy often and have never been disappointed in their service or their employees…they are always prompt and considerate of their client’s situation. Thank you again!!!!
8-16-23 Wes Sancken came today to work on our AC..it was having the same problem as in June when Scott came out and fixed it and it worked well till yesterday. Wes found the problem and put in a replacement part and instructed us on what to do before turning the AC back on. He was very thorough and explained the problem to us. We appreciated his expertise and how he promptly fixing the problem. We are always thankful for the knowledge of all the techs at Popejoy’s. Thank you as always!
8-8-24 Jarod Donley was here this morning to do a maintenance check on our reverse osmosis and check out our water softener and bring us some salt. He has been here before and he is an excellent, excellent technician and employee..very thoughtful and kind and friendly.. told us exactly what was going on what he was going to do and how the water tested. We appreciated everything he did! Also want to mention whenever I deal with Popejoy from making a phone call to your office and talking to Kendra or any of the front office staff to having Jared or any of your techs come out here…ALL of your staff is so accommodating and I can’t thank you enough. 5-30-25 Jacob and Gary came to do maintenance on our AC today. Jacob was very thorough on examining the AC and letting me know everything he was doing and why he was doing it. I was very pleased with Jacob’s explanations about what the air conditioner needed. Gary worked outside on the unit and they both worked very well together. As always Popejoy remains a top of the line company as far as we are concerned!! All of your staff have been extremely good and fair and help me understand everything. My husband used to do all this work but due to his health decline now he can no longer do it, so I truly appreciate that Popejoy can do it for us. Bo Popejoy has contacted me, personally, since, refunded my service call amount, and supplemented my ComEd bill, to make things satisfactory. I've amended my star-rating to three stars, because I never give five, as nobody's perfect, and future interaction towards four stars is pending. Having said that, Popejoy HVACE really has bent over backwards to regain my trust. And I WILL be contacting them for all future needs! Thanks Bo, and company for doing what's right!!! First-time customer. Stopped in the local office, to set up an account, and schedule a tech to repair my furnace, and do a system checkup. Later that day, the tech showed up, and between the two of us (I had to suggest a couple troubleshooting hints) we got it operational. The tech started to pack up to leave, and I asked about the whole system checkup. He said no one made mention of that, and he wasn't alotted time to do it. After he left I noticed that once a heat cycle ended, the blower kept running. I called immediately the next morning, and scheduled a call-back. That afternoon, (day 2) I got another notification that the same tech would be there shortly. I waited an hour, and called the office. They told me he "self dispatched" and that I wasn't, in fact, the next in line. No one came on day 2, and my blower, at this point, was going to end up running 36 hours straight, before the tech showed up on the morning of day 3, to deactivate a fan relay, he had activated as a test. Read moreOkay, so service scheduled, I prepped, drained old water heater. Tech Jared shows up over two hrs later, and disconnects lines from old water heater and places new in position...a state's new heater taller than old. Well duh, you could see that prior. States he will need to rerun vent with a new hole drilled into wall, and doesn't have the equipment on hand. Mined you, now without hot water and being a Friday, it would be overtime rates for a weekend return...nice! Scheduled for Monday at noon, No one came, so gave office a call. "Oh we are trying to find someone to help assist, Sam. ( we'll how about a phone call to me?) Tech, Sam, arrived, no one with him? Sam was actually able to think out of the box, and fix what tech, Jared, could not accomplish. However, no there was a problem with the water heaters valve, had to order a new valve. Needless to say, , another Tech Aaron, arrived on Friday, installed new valve and finally had hot water one week later. All my appointments were never on time and techs always showed up towards the end of the day. Sam and Aaron were great and feel these two could have completed the job in less time, had one of them been set in the first place. I feel I was over charged for one techs inexperience and the lack of customer service communication from the Pontiac...
