WARNING: issues with MENU and food. We ordered from the menu off their website. I called them, so when placing the order I stated immediately that I wanted the "eggplant" sandwich. He asked which sandwich is that, so I read to him the ingredients of the "Vegetarian Paninni" off their website. Note: he did not tell me there was no sandwiches with eggplant. ---We pick up our order, bring it home, only to find out there is no eggplant on my pathetic sandwich. I had an extremely thin tomato slice, one tiny artichoke on each half of the bread, and one tiny slice of cheese. Shame on them for charging for that pathetic sandwich! The menu prices on the internet we found out (AFTER paying because we didnt ask for the total when placing our order) were not correct. We called to complain about there not being eggplant on my sandwich He said sorry we will change the internet. Its the same menu we ordered from 2 months ago! They overcharged us and they ruined my $6.00 sandwich.$25.00 for 2 sandwiches and 1 fry. They ripped us off. You're stupid if you eat here.

Looked up nicer restaurants we could stop at to grab an early dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We walked in and noticed 2 businessmen. The place was empty. To the right was the "so called dining area", the left showed a mini board with specials, a young woman standing there. She didn't say anything to us. We weren't sure if we were supposed to find our own place to sit, stand there or what. No signs to state otherwise. It's definitely an odd setup. You order your food, pay (they even ask you for a tip) before eating. They tell you to sit whereveryouwant. You're responsible for your own beverages. Food was down right disgusting. Alfredo had absolutely no taste. No garlic, parmesan cheese. The ravioli special was at least edible. Spaghetti and meatballs, was just ok. Again no garlic. If you want mediocre food that is bland and has no flavor, this is your place. Even the breadsticks were tasteless, cold and hard. Definitely not worth $50

Stopped in here on my way to Indiana. Friend got a Cesear Salad, my daughter got a kids regular spaghetti and I got the fettuccine alfredo and added chicken. The portions were smaller than I would of thought for the amount. 10 $ for something that looks like a side salad. To me the food was bland no flavor in the alfredo even the bread sticks had no seasoning on top. The staff was super nice and friendly. Kept checking on us. The restaurant was nicely decorated and perfect lighting. Back area had the gaming machines. Very clean also.

I went in with great expectations. The food menu looked inviting and the desert menu almost made me go for the desert first! Well I ordered Fettuccini Alfredo w/ chicken breast, salad and soup. I grabbed me some tea and sat down to begin my meal in which they served the food. The salad was just a salad but the soup was very good! I managed to scarf that down easily and while waiting for my main I got up and grabbed me another refill of tea. After returning to my seat and sipping my tea I eagerly awaited my fettuccini. Well I waited....waited....and waited! After 1/2 hour after I ordered my food, (7:05 on my receipt and 7:35 on my phone) I went up to inquire the whereabouts of my food. They asked "You didn't get it?" I calmly said "No." They then said, after some confusion among the staff, that they would fix it up right away! I declined to wait and asked for my money back. Well they returned the cost of the Fettuccini but still charged me for the salad, soup and tea. And just said "Were Sorry!" I left and went to Taco Bell to fix my hunger. Now if it were my restaurant I would have been stumbling over my feet to keep that customer happy instead of letting them leave in disgust! They seemed to be more worried of the trouble they would get in instead of the customers review of their performance! Well that's my rant....

It had been awhile since we had been here. We live in the area and, in the past, the food was very good, but over time, it had kind of gone downhill. But, we were looking for a nearby place for a quick lunch that wasn't fast food, so we settled on going here. I had the Bruschetta Burger with a side salad... and I have to say, it was great! I was pleasantly surprised compared to one of our previous visits. The burger was cooked very well and was very flavorful. The only slight "ding" on the food review was that the Italian dressing on the salad was only so-so. It was a bit thick and goopy, probably from being in a super cool fridge and didn't seem to have very much flavor, but that was only a minor issue. There aren't many restaurants that offer a side salad as an option, so I was just impressed by that. Hopefully this trend will continue for Cafe Fontana. Since there are only a limited amount of non-fast-food options in Pontiac, I want them to do well. Seems like there may have been a change in the kitchen at some point,...
