Wow. I love this place. I’ve been to countless authentic Mexican restaurants in Michigan and beyond. I’ve tried all of the ones in Pontiac and Mexicantown. Los Amigos is fantastic. Their carnitas tacos- a sure way of judging the food- have been on point each time Ive gone. Delicious, slow cooked pork, and they fill the box to the brim with grilled poblano peppers, onions and fresh radishes as well without you even asking. Their beans are also fantastic- something a lot of Mexican restaurants fail at for some reason. I also highly recommend the shredded chicken flauta. I have yet to try their fish or various soups (they have so many choices!!) but I can’t wait to. I hope this place sticks around for many years. Also bonus points for actually wearing masks during the pandemic. You’d be surprised how many cooks at other places think they don’t need to.

The food was excellent The food was cook fresh it came out hot delicious .very huge portion size We got the quesabirra and Cuban torta Steak tacos 🌮 corn 🌽 on cob to corn They have many types of ice cream and mix Drink .fruits and ice cream items Fruits and cold ice Drink. Many flavors to choose from It is not a big place 4 table i think I like the decor atmosphere here. Doesn't look fancy or new from outside, but the food is the main thing It is located next to the pb gas station Yes, if you see 2 young teenager girl helping you be fools, they can cook Give this place a try if you're in the Pontiac area and love Mexican food We definitely will be back

Update: A year and many visits later, I started to see a lot of inconsistencies in the dishes and salsas. Which was fun for a while, but at this point the street tacos are not what they were a year ago. They are just “meh” now, they miss the flavor punch and the tenderness in the meat. Would love to see the quality go back up, but at this point will be finding a new taco spot. Sorry Amigos, it was fun while it lasted. A year prior: What a hidden gem! I’m passionate about authentic tacos and this place filled my heart and belly. The service was extremely friendly, the tacos Al Pastor and Carnitas was awesome. Will be back, many times!

I was in the mood for Mexican food, and wanted to try some place new. This place popped up and I decided to give it a try.

Surprisingly, it's in a gas station? I was sort of hesitant about dining here, but the place is a okay. There's obviously limited parking and seating here, so FYI it's not good for groups. Maybe a party of 4, tops.

I reviewed the menu and kind of scoped the place out when I was inside. There's a wall and door that separate the restaurant portion from the station itself, so that's good. Some of the tables were dirty and looked like they were in need of being cleared, so it made a tight situation even tighter because it meant I had to sit right smack dab in the middle since there was only 2 other places to sit.

My server was nice and answered a lot of my questions. The menu's decent but it's mostly dinner entree's here. I went with the 2 tacos that came with rice and beans since I was kind of hungry. Sadly, they don't have barbacoa, just ground beef and steak, in regards to meat selection for tacos. There's also pork and chicken, but since I don't eat pork and didn't feel like chicken, that kind of narrowed down my options to what i was going to get.

As for drinks, they also don't have any fountain pop here at all, nor do they serve glasses of water. You have to purchase bottled water or no water at all. I think it's a $1 a bottle. They have can's of coke and some Mexican pop, and that's kind of it.

I docked a star for the limited drink options because it was kind of a bummer. Plus, since seating was limited and the place wasn't packed, the tables could have been cleared sooner than later.

As for the food, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I mean, it wasn't life changing but definitely good and the beans were awesome. The rice was good, and I mixed it with the beans, so that was tasty. Tacos were very yummy and over all, it was worth visiting here.

Regardless of the tables that needed to be cleared, I wish they would at least have glasses (or Styrofoam cups) where you could at least get refillable ice water or something. Maybe they don't have the space, I'm not sure, but that's kind of a thing for me.

Overall, a decent quick lunch spot or place to...

My family and I came here today for lunch, we were the only ones in to eat. There was a language barrier with the young girl taking orders as she did not understand English at all. Which is ok, my mom translated and we were able to place our order. 40 mins later, 4 out of of 7 of us got our food. I ordered barbacoa tacos, and they were not barbacoa. It was discolored meat and the taste was bland. I decided not to eat them and order quesabirria. 10 more mins past and my husband and brother still had not received their food. The young girl then says she forgot to put in the order. We sat there for an hour and half of us never got to eat. I canceled my order and we paid and left very upset. I wouldn’t recommend unless u have all day to sit there and wait. Was willing to try a small business but they need better help and employees who are able to use the register and get...
