Worst experience I've had at a McDonald's ever. One car ahead of us at the drive-through, and it took them quite some time to take his order. When we finally pulled up, my daughter wanted a cappuccino. Sorry, our cappuccino machine is broken. Can you do an Iced Coffee with caramel instead? Yes. Okay, one please. Any food? Yes, one Sausage McMuffin with egg please. Total given and we pull around to pay at the 1st window. Somehow, the price has increased from the total shown on the order screen and the window. What's the story? Kid tells me tax. Fine, we're in a hurry, here's exact change. $8.32 or something close to that. Pull up behind the guy who was ahead of us and proceed to wait, and wait, and wait. Finally, he gets his order and departs. We pull up. The Iced Coffee is handed out, and the window is shut. Nothing said about the breakfast sandwich. Sit there for at least a full minute while the person fiddles with making drinks. No eye contact to be had. I finally tap on the window. Did they forget the sandwich? No, we're short-handed, but it's being made right now. Wait another couple of minutes. Woman comes to the window to inform me that they just ran out of "round" egg and would I like to order something else. Are you kidding me? No, we're now running late, so can I just get my money back, please? Do you think they refunded my entire order for the inconvenience, as a way to apologize and maybe save a customer? Of course not. They refunded the sandwich, and I drove off with an overpriced Iced Coffee instead of a cappuccino, and a strong resolve to never give McDonald's any of my money ever again. Sorry McDonald's, but your food has become overpriced, your service is lousy, and there are frankly better options...

I'm now stuck in the drive-thru line waiting to get out because I'm trapped now I'm not going to make a purchase and we'll never make a purchase from this McDonald's ever again. I expect a manager or someone to contact me ASAP to talk about this disgusting service where their employees could not care whether or not the customers come or order anything. Isn't that why you stay in business to serve the customers? I'm disgusted. I spoke to one of the managers that works there and told her that I was on my break and I have no food now and all she said was I'm very sorry about that and she shut the window so I told her she must not care
After three locations in the area I have gone home without any McDonalds. I'm updating my past review to continue to complain about the local McDonald's in my Pontiac area. This location as well as the Walton location are only accepting cash. If you only accept cash During certain times of the day because of computer systems update, then let your customers know. I wasted about 10 miles in gas trying to go get some McDonalds. I also try to use the mobile app, which is worthless. Do you mobile order would not let me place an order for any of the McDonald's in the area that's five McDonalds. Why have a feature that offers ordering if it's not going to work? I'm very dissatisfied and I'm going to take this further and contact corporate because these are not silly questions.    Read more10/16/2025- one of the worst experiences today at this location. Have visited this place since it's close to my work. Went today through the drive thru, they were extremely busy. Got food fairly fast but it was incorrect. Had to go inside and they immediately knew I received the wrong order. Waited 25 minutes and never got my order. They took my original receipt and said they'd remake it. They continued to say that for the next 25 minutes and told me it was coming up. Meanwhile, the lobby filled up and orders after my remake were fulfilled. Very unorganized and unprofessional. One staff member was kind and tried several times to say "they were working on it". Finally they said it needed to be rerang so that it could be made. Seriously?! Finally I requested a refund and had to go to my car to get my card I paid with. Appeared they didn't have the original receipt I gave them. I told them what was ordered and they refunded my money. I went to the next closest McDonald's on Telegraph Rd and had my order within 5 minutes. To add a final insult, when I compared the two receipts, this location didn't refund me correctly.
