I am not a complainer and don’t do reviews but this is what I sent to McDonald’s today: I am so disappointed. Pontoon Beach McDonalds used to be the best one around! I have been going here for nearly 25 years. I havent been in several months and probably will never go there again. I wanted to try a few of the new international limited time items we had seen advertised on tv. I ordered at the drive-thru and paid at the window with a credit card. It wasnt until I got to the pickup window that I was informed that the ice cream machine wasnt working and would not be able to get the 2 StroopwafelMcFlurries I had ordered. The girl at the window asked if I wanted a refund. Yes, I would like a refund. Then she asks if cash would be ok even though I paid with a card. Sure that will be fine I said as I look in rear view mirror and see the line backing up behind me. Waiting, waiting. Finally get the rest of my order and almost pulled away when I realize I hadnt received the refund yet. So I asked oh ya what about my refund. The girl said she forgot but turned around and said mgr workin on it now. Waiting..waiting..line getting longer behind me. Finally hands me $4.12. I said whoa wait a minute I just paid $5.58 for 2 McFlurries. I give her the $4.12 back. The girl then asks for my receipt. Mgr looks at receipt(she’s doing other things)...Im waiting waiting. Finally comes over with $5.58. I said what about the tax I paid on that? I said I know were talking just a few cents but this is ridiculous!! Waiting..waiting again. Manager finally comes over and said I paid tax on the full order not just the McFlurries. That the only way I would be refunded the tax too is to refund the whole order! WHAT???? I looked at her with complete puzzlement thinking she must think Im completely stupid! I said that is not true. Each item has its tax! I have never been anywhere where the refund doesn’t include the tax.The manager, which I found out by now her name is Marquita, said that is what the DM just told her. Now Marquita is at the window shrugging her shoulders. WOW!! Not only did they not tell me I couldnt get McFlurries when ordered, I paid with a credit card for which they wanted to refund me cash then ripped me off the tax I paid! Marquita was just still shrugging her shoulders! This is so ridiculous over a few cents I asked for the DMs name-Brittany and I finally pull away thinking I cannot believe this just happened and how did this happen at “my” McDonalds??? How are people so lazy to do it the right way? I should have parked and returned the whole bag of food but I had hungry people at home and it was raining and we had just been outa power for over an hour. I will never go there again. I thought you should be aware of the reputation the management of this restaurant is giving you. Also, I know that the man who owns these McDonalds in the area (is it James Williams? Couldnt find his name anywhere. Used to be on the window) has owned these for a long time. Can you please also make him aware of my complaint? Im just so...
Read moreWe had been driving for what felt like days (just an hour) and in the distance I saw it. The delightful golden arches. My husband offered to get me a coffee anywhere else. No, I said, an iced coffee sounds good. The McDonald's wasn't busy as we circled to the drive-thru. I ordered a vanilla iced coffee and 2 breakfast burritos. The person taking the order talked over and tried to rush my husband which was rude, but that can be overlooked for coffee. The girl who took payment was nice. At last my order! The bag containing my burritos was hot, a good sign! My coffee, however, looked like tan milk. It was passed to me without a nugget of ice to chill the contents of the cup. I did try a sip to see if maybe they had forgotten to pour it over ice. No, it was gross and tasted of coffee-flavored weird milk. We pulled back into the not-busy parking lot so that I could see if they would fix this mistake only to be greeted by the worst surprise walking inside. As I stepped in I was struck by the most rank of sewer smells that could not have come from just one person. Honestly, I don't know how the couple of people inside could stand to eat in there. How could the workers function in the dining area with that smell? I was in shock as I explained to the girl at the counter what happened with my coffee and she offered to remake it very politely. I watched her struggle to do this task looking to another lady for help. Taking my coffee and heading back out to the burritos in the car. Only to find them as hard as stone and my appetite gone. Still warm, that's something! You let me down, I'm disappointed McDonald's. I should have just asked for my money back....

January 28th I went to McDonald's to try and get me some breakfast, boy was that a bad idea, 1, I asked for two big breakfast w/HOT CAKES, one switch out the meat for another hashbrown, I get home and I look in the bag, and no pancakes in one order, no big deal, I call up there to tell them my issues, and they straight up told ME, the customer, that I said no hotcakes in one breakfast, that was never said, we went back and forth, not getting loud, but then the lady on the other end started screaming at me on the other end, saying she couldn't accommodate or replace anything in my order; I politely asked for a refund, and she got louder, eventually hanging Up on me after politely asking her to not yell at me, and to calm down. Needless to say I had to go to extra steps with my bank to get an issue refunded on their end because they absolutely refused a refund, this place needs shut down, and needs rehiring on management's end, because I've never been disrespected this badly in my life, avoid this place completely if you can help it, go to granite; or hell even collinsville, because this place isn't worth the headache, by far the worst experience I've ever had; and I'm so glad the bank gave me the refund because I will never spend a dime at this place again! Listen to the 1 star reviews; because this place is really that bad, they don't even deserve a half star...
