Butcher Block — Restaurant in Pontotoc

This was my first time eating here, but my family had said it was good.

The food didn’t disappoint. I had a tenderloin biscuit which was very soft and buttery. The biscuit literally flaked in my hand, it was that soft. My brother had the pancake plate, and he said the pancakes were the best he had ever had.. ever. He wouldn’t stop talking about them on the way home!

The service was hospitable and kind. All the workers we met were very patient, quick on their feet, and attentive. The nice owner woman, I assume is who she was, even offered my niece and nephew a complimentary cookie. That was top service right there in my opinion.

My only complaint is the atmosphere. The dining area was very humble, which should be a cozy compliment for most restaurants, but in this scenario, the roof was leaking water & had visible stains from moisture all throughout its tiles. I had a water drop fall on me while filling up my drink from one of these areas on the ceiling. Also, there is a heater against the wall that I’m unsure if it heats the whole room by that one heater or if there’s other sources of heat in the room. My niece wanted us to sit by it, so we were warm, but it felt cool in other areas of the dining area.

The food was good but the customer service was TERRIBLE the whole environment was bad I don't know if everyone was having a bad day or what the older lady taking orders was rude then we sat down we got our food we were missing and item that wasn't a big deal I work at a restaurant and we don't sometimes too but when the younger girl who brought our food out came around I told her ma'am we didn't get our item well she had an attitude about it and huffed about it as a server and waitress I could never speak to people the way these people were acting I've always heard good things about this place my experience was a definite...

This was my first time eating there. Both the employees and other customers were friendly and made me feel comfortable. The service was excellent; I expected to have to wait for my food but I had just sat down and started scrolling on my phone when the lady brought my food. The food was delicious; the only thing that could have been better (in my opinion) was the hash brown patty was too crunchy for my taste. I intend to go back if I’m ever near Pontotoc around...
