Dollar Tree — Local services in Pontotoc

The new store that shares with Family Dollar is really clean. The isles are clear & not blocked with excess stock or anything. New stock added all the time. Lots of great deals if you can catch them. Some items worth well over the price increase to $1.25. However, you have to be careful not to pay more when other places have same or similar items for $1 or less. My favorite must have items are in the beauty section. For instance, makeup wipes & face serums. The only thing I definitely would not recommend is the batteries. They don't last long at all & have a tendency to corrode quicky & even leak. This has actually ruined something of mine. There is plenty of good parking spots & it's easy to get in & out of with normal traffic. I love that it's combined with Family Dollar. And I really like the FD app & digital coupons.

The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the consistently rude staff. I'm only removing 1 star but honestly deserves 2 removed. They are not friendly at all. And especially if you dare shop near closing. Not at closing but anywhere within the hour before it seems like it becomes a problem. The worst is checking out no matter the time. A lot of times no one is up there when you get ready to check out. Then for whatever reason it's a huge rush for you to pay, get your stuff, & get out the way. For instance, last time I couldn't even put my wallet back in my bag because the cashier was piling the next customer bags on top of mine. And then not bagging some items for whatever reason making it harder to carry especially if you have several others to carry out. I mean, since when doesn't pet food get bagged?? It also makes it more difficult when trying to bring in once home. It's just little things like this where unless it's a specific item or cheaper, I much prefer their competitor...

The Grand Opening of the revamped Dollar Tree in Pontotoc, MS was August 4, 2025. We went in yesterday to check it out. It’s clean, bright, and full of great brand items. Helpful staff were constantly restocking the shelves. Good refrigerated and frozen section. Seemingly endless beauty and health products. Our “go to” place for gift bags, wrapping paper and party supplies, with a huge selection of hallmark cards. Clear aisles and plenty of checkout...

Love this place. So many great deals, all for $1. Lots of high quality items that cost big bucks are often stocked at this one. Great for arts & crafts. As long as you are creative, it's as good as a big box store for DIY. Staff is usually very friendly & helpful. Food selection is small but the items are always good. Large selection of kitchen necessities. Must check often to get the best deals before...
