Just had a moment to take our coats off in a half empty bar. Third time being there to what I that would be a welcoming place. As a new couple in the area we are excited to venture in Poplar Grove I thought this was a welcoming place. Husband and I had a fantastic conversation with a regular and welcomed people entering the facility. Being from Arizona husband and I entered what we though was a “unisex” restroom to potty and we were engaged by three people “owner” informing us we are kicked out and cut off because my husband said a man from afar looked like a PUMPIKIN!!! Fine, sorry you are butt hurt bald guy! The bartender as I remember with long black hair female seemed like the owners girlfriend didn’t even give us an opportunity to speak out and find out why this aggression was happening, but had no issues gathering people from the public for back up it felt like. We just arrived! I assure you, my husband and I being from AZ just wanted cocktails in a new atmosphere in Popular Grove. I truly feel being HISPANIC had a ton to do with it! I am born and raised in California/Arizona and never in my life delt with such humiliation or felt so disrespected in a BAR! Are you kidding me?! My husband and I were probably there 45 min, and being from the SOUTHWEST felt so disrespected, and belittled! Is this a WHITE BAR?! ONLY WHITE PEOPLE ARE WELCOME?! Sorry BEAR fans if you don’t like us, but we have a right there too!!! To the long black haired (to her knees) bartender, I do not except your attitude nor lip towards my husband and I. My husband and I honored the owners and long black hair bartenders wish for us to leave. You should be ashamed of yourselves! I will NEVER spend my hard earned money there again! Please, never trust these people. It may be convenient, but I’d thing twice entertaining this bar!....

Great atmosphere and food.

I was recommended by a friend to come here. Said it was a great place, friendly and especially veteran friendly.

When I came in, it was slightly busy however the bartender greeted me upon entry. Asked if I wanted a drink and offered me a menu.

While I searched for a meal, the overall place was great. TVs showing sports, people laughing and joking, even the waitresses and bartender interacted professionally and friendly enough. Definitely a great place to have a good time w/ friends, watch the game and eat.

I ordered the Chicago Fire Burger medium well w/ fries. Came out delicious. Not over bearing with bbq sauce, thick patty and well seasoned fries. Only recommendation would be a few rings of red onions instead of the whole slice. But placing it to the side could help w/ each customer desired amount of onion to have. I ordered 2 jack and cokes. First was a bit weak, but I chalk that up to employees wondering how I or any person can handle liquor (safety reasons I'm sure). 2nd glass was spot on.

Overall the place is awesome. Even has corn hole and po outside....
