Buffet City on Warwick Blvd Newport News Virginia — Restaurant in Poquoson

Everytime i have come here i have had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE so when my friend wanted to go there and we went. Upon arriving I was disgusted by the appearance of the food as well as the smell. Not the mention how visibly dirty the restaurant is. I didn’t eat and just watched him eat and drunk water. When the check came I informed the waiter I didn’t eat and she went to get the manager who was extremely rude. She walked up to our table and said « what’s the problem » I told her there was no problem and that I didn’t eat. She began poing at the camera saying «  there’s cameras there’s cameras » I told her to check them because I didn’t eat food then. She said « don’t play with me » In a way I’m assuming she was trying to sound ghetto (which is not how I sound or talk) I continued to tell her to check the cameras and then she said she will call the cops on me. At that point I got upset but $40 on the table and walked out. My friend stayed and paid for the food after she said « and don’t come back » we were not rude to her at all. Second time is not a charm. The dining room was crowded in general with tables, when people were sitting at said tables it was near impossible to get around. The crowd was the typical buffet cliental. Most of the food was swimming in either butter or a butter water combination. The Mongolian Grill area was the most disappointing. The shrimp were microscopic, the crab was something you would get out of a bag, the beef, chicken and pork were shaved frozen pieces of meat. I choose beef which was cooked way to long making the beef tough and very chewy. Whenever the crab legs would come out they were gone immediately by a standby crowd. The shrimp which is also made for the dinner crowd was shell on and fried in a light batter. Not appealing in the least. Our waitress was nonexistent, I had to start walking to the drink area before I got my drink refilled. We really have no idea who our waitress was spos to be?

The food looked delicious and tasted like it too. Wish I could have tried the usually but I was on strict diet of only fruits and vegetables. Now, I could not wait to leave a review because someone please tell whoever makes the banana pudding that that is NOT banana pudding. I knew it looked different but I was open to a little remix. Um, hello who makes it, the Biggest ingredients are WAFERS, AND BANANAS. There is NO dried out tasteless cake. That's not banana pudding and it is not a good remix of it too. It was the most tasteless, and gross thing I have ever tried. Banana pudding is a very sweet dessert and I dont know what I just tasted because I didn't even taste the flavor of bananas and no sweetness. Good luck with convincing those who know banana pudding. it was very disappointing bc I took it all the way back across states to enjoy when my diet was over and I feel pranked lol.
