Went here with my husband last Sunday. This was our 2nd time here. The first time there weren’t any complaints but THIS TIME?! We arrived for brunch and ordered a 12piece wings for our appetizer. We also placed our meal orders as well. My husband ordered the grilled chicken dish and I ordered the fried shrimp basket. The server Brittany brought out our appetizer along with my husband’s meal. About 15min passed and she came over to let me know the kitchen was backed up and it would be an additional 15min until the shrimp would be cooked. By this time my husband is 75% done with his food since it arrived with the appetizer so I declined to wait an additional 15 to receive my food and be eating alone. The server then comes back to me and says she spoke with the owner who agreed to take my shrimp meal off my bill as a “discount.” How on earth is that a discount when the meal had not even begun to get prepared nor had I received it. So I then say that’s not a discount for my inconvenience because legally I can’t be charged for something that wasn’t prepared yet and hadn’t received. I asked for another type of discount on the current bill for the huge inconvenience and the server stated the owner said 2 discounts cannot be applied at one time (she was still referring to removing the meal off the bill that I never got as a discount ) we then explained that there was never any discount applied for my inconvenience. Nevertheless I explained we wouldn’t be back because of the owner’s poor customer service. There is no way the kitchen should be backed up. They need to stop accepting people to come sit down and eat it they can’t ensure food is served timely. Then on top of that they still had the same furniture as they had the first time we went over a year ago. Cheap furniture that wobbles and is extremely small.l, almost childlike. They are a failed attempt of trying to be upscale with dollar general furnishings. Brittany was amazing and it wasn’t her fault. Then to top it off, we leave and see incoming customers being searched by security to enter the restaurant. Read moreI would like to start off by saying that the inside is very beautiful and the set up is nice and welcoming. The reason I'm leaving a review is not to bash them but to my experience on my first time here. Today is 3rd of January 2024, I went in with my wife and was greeted with sit anywhere you want check not a problem at all. So we seated ourselves and waited for the lady to serve us our order. We was told that they are running behind on the schedule so we was fine with that so we understood that it was going to take a while for our order. The waitress asked us for our order and I asked for the colossal shrimp with Bourbon sauce which was the highlight of our lunch. You should try it and it has a little kick but good. Next we place our order for the Philly cheese steak and chicken nachos 😋. It took about 30+min for our food to come to the table after ordering and the waitress delivered my wife's chicken nachos but was empty handed with my Philly cheesesteak and said that we are out of it and that I needed to order something else. I was upset about it as I had to wait for my new order to come, while my wife is already eatting her meal. I thought that was very upsetting to me as I could I have been notified a lot sooner that my order could not be forfilled and could pick something else so that we both can eat at the same time. The review for the chicken nachos is that the chicken is really cooked good but the actual chips for the nachos was kind of burnt and i think the oil should be changed and the cheese sauce was like something from a can. Once my second order came in which was the double bacon cheese burger it was way overcooked. The meat was almost burnt. I didn't enjoy it and I understand that the staff didn't open on-time but it gave my first experience a sour place in my heart as I heard good things about this place. After an hour and a half wait time to even be seated (which should have been my first indication to leave but I was with a big group who wanted to stay) we were finally seated. We came for breakfast but by the time we were seated, breakfast was over. We received a champagne and our waitress (whom was very sweet) treated us to a free appetizer that we later found out that she ended up having to pay for and we informed the manager that she didn't have to do that and that should have been a courtesy for our long wait. Then as we began to place our orders, we were told it was no catfish (which most of are party wanted) and we later found out after ordering our food that the party platter was given chicken tenders instead of chicken wings as it's supposed to come with because they were also out of chicken wings. We were told there would be a DJ and was looking forward to that, but it was no DJ. One of the TVs didn't work in the room we were sitting in so we couldn’t watch the game. We had to repeatedly ask for service and that was due to the limited staff at the restaurant. We were actually told that there was a new restaurant being opened called Bar 9 and that most of the staff, food, and DJ and been taking over there to help with that restaurant. It was so bad that one of the staff members was seen crying and a little overwhelmed with everything. Our group definitely had high hopes for our first time at the restaurant but it just didn't hit the mark. Food and drinks were subpar. But maybe the other spot is better. I guess we will shall see.
