We'd moved our base of operations from Forks, WA to Port Angeles, WA to visit different parts of Olympic National Park.

My wife picked this place based on the menu. Also, this place takes reservations, which is appreciated, and, in this restaurant's case, definitely recommended.

We popped over and got easy (lucky) parking out front. I think they have parking around back, but we lucked out and it was super convenient.

It took a moment to be recognized by a staff person to check us in as they had been seating someone else. We had reservations and were seated inside immediately (others, it seemed without reservations, were generally offered outdoor (somewhat chilly) seating (at picnic tables).

We were glad to have indoor seating, but I do have to say, the seating is designed for you to not linger. They are metal chairs that pinch in at the sides and have short seating surfaces (so for tall people, like my wife and I, it can be uncomfortable).

Service was very good. All of the staff we interacted with were super friendly and especially knowledgable about the menu and and-on options.

The Moonlight broth we ordered augmented with clams and an egg was really delicious and full of great flavor.

The Yodelin broth, which had curry elements as a key part of it, was great. I augmented this with bacon, egg and cod. The cod got a little lost, but the egg brought better viscosity to the dish and the bacon was so damn good!

Nice, well priced wine list was available and we enjoyed the Albarino we ordered.

I absolutely recommend this place, I'd even go a bit out of my way to return if i was...

Food… We had golden beets with feta cheese and a drizzle of honey with (I think fennel). We shared a sautéed cod with cheese and homemade tartar sauce sandwich. We had a gluten free bun and if you know anything about gluten free buns that are usually awful, but no, they heated the Bun, it was soft and held together and just added to the sandwich! Food was delicious. Atmosphere… This was a vey delightful place. The seating was great. They had lovely plants all over the restaurant which gave it a very comfortable vibe. The temperature of the restaurant was perfect. It was very cozy. The best part was the music they played. It was soothing and just added to the ambiance of the restaurant. Service… A+. Austin was our server, and since we hadn’t been there before he went over the menu and explained the food options. He had everything at the table in a timely manner. He was a delight to talk to and answered all our questions. This was a top notch dining experience in Port Angeles. We will definitely be going back and will make sure to take out of town...

I’m a PA local, and I think this is the best restaurant in town. Excellent food - fresh, good ethics, tastes special, but still feels healthy. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The fish and seafood taste clean. The veggies are high quality, flavorful, and well grown. Ingredients are locally sourced which is awesome. There’s thought and care put into the food prep - like even the soft boiled eggs are done right, so there’s not that grey layer around the edge of the yolk, and the yolk is a deep yellow-orange.

The atmosphere is great - comfortable, relaxed, open, and modern. Service is good too. Friendly staff and attentive. I think this place is a jewel for PA. I go out of my way to bring people here, and even dine on my own to support it.

I wish I had a better photo but I wasn’t intending to put up a review last time I went - but I felt compelled to bc it’s so good! I’ll add more/better...

I’m not going to lie, I did not want to go here because I really wanted Chipotle. However, my dad saw it and we whipped the car around. I am absolutely eating my words. Oh my god it was so good. Photos were not even taken because I ate everything before I could take pictures. The roasted vegetables sent me to heaven (cauliflower with sesame oil, sesame seeds, garlic, and ginger.) I then ordered a grilled cheese with gluten free bread and a tomato soup off of the “cool kids menu.” Also, the soundtrack was amazing. We sat outside and it was a little chilly but who cares when the food sends you into another dimension. If you are in Port Angeles please please PLEASE try it!! It’s totally worth it!!!!!! Plus there are many gluten free options which is a total slay since I am gluten free!
