Leones Mexican Grill Y Panaderia — Restaurant in Port Lavaca

We ate there today and it was horrible. We will never be back. First off the soda machine was really low on co2 and the drinks were flat and nasty. The waitress offered us can cokes. She brings out mini can cokes and gave each of us one. I asked for some cups of ice We never got them. The cokes were hot. I was still charged 2.99 for each drink and when I asked her while checking out she said she can't do anything about the price. Second we ordered bean and cheese nachos. It looked like someone put a spoon full of beans in the middle of a pile of chips and then threw some cheese on top. 50 percent of the chips had no cheese on them. When we got our food we had to ask for forks. The food was nasty my kids took a few bites of theirs and left the rest on their plates. It had a really weird taste to it almost like a canned Chilli taste. I took our left overs home just to feed to the dogs since our bill was 95.00 for four people. First time there. The menu looked good and prices reasonable. We asked for a recommendation, it was fajitas. We shared one order which was a good size. They gave us only two tortillas and we asked for two more and we were charged $2 more. The sad thing is that we didn’t eat any of them as they were way too thick! The beef was too chewy because it was sliced along the grain. Everyone knows that you slice against the grain and to take it up another notch you cut at an angle as well. The food, carnitas plate, brought harmonious taste from the start..the plate was outstanding..the owner and waitstaff were working in unison and I never was left out..the mango margarita was outstanding with the meal..highly recommended if you haven't been there..(update: 02/20/2023)..had ordered dinner and had just begun to eat when the waitress began cleaning tables with an ammonia mix compound that was so strong it depleted my appetite and I had to leave bcz of the strong smell...she should have waited until closer to closing but that may be their practice...I will never eat dinner around 8pm at...
