Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Port Lavaca

Sonic is one of those places you go to to grab a quick meal that is brought out to you within 5-10 mins and usually for me, my orders are always right. Also, depending on which parking spaces speaker you use to order your food is how well they will either hear your order or you’ll have to yell it out to them in the hopes of them getting the order correct. It can get frustrating being able to see what they put in for your order versus what you are trying to order. The car hops are usually very friendly and they repeat your order back to you once they bring it out to make sure it’s yours. But just like any fast food place, some orders can be wrong, which is why I think everyone uses the entrance side instead of the exit side to order food. The exit side has music playing from speakers louder on that side, which can make it harder to place an order and have it come back correctly. If you have not had the “Brunch Burger” I suggest trying it. That is my favorite thing on the menu right now besides happy hour when I can get a strawberry lime-aid slushy...

THIS rating is for the app. Every time I try to order through the app and use my big half off coupon the app offers sometimes; it’s Jesus declined my payments. I try a couple cards that are GOOD. It declined it every time. By the time I get my payment to go through because you don’t also offer a cash option at pickup; then I get timed out and when I finally got my cash app card to work; it won’t let me use the coupon now so my orders several more dollars upon order time! THIS has happened over 5 times! It’s like a scam or something. Half off shakes. Half off burger. I’ve YET to get one discount except the drinks since getting the app! It’s frustrating! It’s the worst app I’ve ever used. And when I complained to the manager she said; she’s leaving my name in a notebook they keep and I can get a free shake NEXT time. Well I go a few days later and try to use my name to get the discount like she said; they don’t have any idea what I’m talking about and THAT managers not there! Wow! I just cancelled my entire order! And...

Well I showed up 15 til 10pm and I was ordering the foot long! I asked if the wieners were old and shriveled up bc they always are here, but it was late so I had to ask.. She said they make them per order so I was like hmmm.. maybe something new they are doing… NOT. My wiener came out shriveled hard, but ofcoarse I ain’t it bc I was hungry and did not want to wait. Last week I came for the double cheese burger and the meat patties were also burned the entire way around, mayo was slapped on ketchup was slapped on both dripping out of the bottom of burger. Not how I would have like to eat my burger or coney! I’m giving up on Sonic in Port Lavaca for a while. I’m not the one to complain for free food, but however I will let the manager know so they can fix the issue then they say can I have your name and I don’t want a free meal. I want my meal to come at least half way as the pictures they use for advertising…...
