I came here with high hopes of eating authentic Peruvian food, and was disappointed. First off, there hasn't been a good authentic peruvian restaurant in PSL since the beginning of time. So I was hopeful, yet wasn't expecting much. We ordered papa a la huancaina as an appetizer. For $10, we literally received 3....three....tres... uno, dos, tres...slices of potato and 1 slice of hard boiled egg on top, not the entire egg, but one slice of it. This was beyond disappointing. I wasn't expecting a large plate, but man. 3 thin slices?!?!?! that must of amounted to a quarter of a potato.
It tasted okay, but 3?!?!?!
We ordered lomo Saltado and I ordered pasta a la huancaina with skirt steak. On the menu it is a pesto pasta, but I asked for huancaina instead.
The food was very much, "okay". So someone who isn't accustomed to eating authentic peruvian food, this place might be amazing, but it really isn't. I am not a chef, but these plates seem like I can replicate them off a youtube tutorial.
The staff was super super super nice and friendly, absolutely no complaints about them, they attended us great. I left a nice tip, because the service was top notch, however the food. I really wouldn't be visiting there again.
Just leaving an honest review on...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aji Peru, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, everything about the experience was superb.
The food was absolutely outstanding – full of authentic Peruvian flavors, beautifully presented, and made with clear attention to quality and detail. Every dish we tried was a standout, but the jalea, chaufa, lomo saltado and corvina ceviche were truly unforgettable.
The service was just as impressive. The staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to share recommendations and insights about the dishes.
The location is great too – easy to find, with a cozy, inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Whether you're new to Peruvian cuisine or a longtime fan, Aji Peru is a must-visit spot.
Five stars all the way! I will definitely be...
Read moreI’m so glad we found this place—honestly, it’s exactly what this city was missing. The food is incredible. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with real depth of flavor. You can tell they’re using high-quality ingredients, and they’re not cutting any corners. From the appetizers to the mains, everything hit the mark.
What really made the experience stand out, though, were the owners. They were so warm and genuinely welcoming, checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything without being intrusive. It felt like we were being hosted in someone’s home rather than just eating at a restaurant. That kind of personal touch is rare these days.
And on top of all that—the prices are totally reasonable, especially for the quality you’re getting. This isn’t overpriced “trendy” food—it’s the real deal, served with heart. We’re already planning to come back with friends. Can’t...
