Whits Frozen Custard of Port St. Lucie — Restaurant in Port Saint Lucie

Let me just say the customer service is most of the time great and the custard is not bad. The staff that’s there is friendly, it’s a bit pricey but custard is the Rich’s ice cream or whatever. But the responder to these reviews is just ridiculous. Supposedly they are a manager but I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen anyone around managing… the teenagers are so sweet and deserve better, they fully rely on these kids to uphold their business and it’s something I’ve seen myself when I was working as a teenager. Adults taking advantage of kids. I point out the responder because I saw another reviewer voice this concern and instead of thinking hmmm maybe I just suck and need to treat them better he immediately thinks the reviewer must be coerced. Clearly he has issues with taking responsibility and everything must be someone else’s fault.

Thank you responder for your condescending ending to your response, I was hoping I was wrong about you but no. I am at peace thank you very much, that alongside you responding to whom was CLEARLY a women as “dear sir” earlier shows your itty bitty baby ways and i can’t help but pitty the workers and what you probably put them through. After all the raves from relatives over the years, they were embarrassed by the experience we had the other day.

The atmosphere was hardly joyous. Three employees, one looking down at her iPhone, and a young man who clearly wasn’t enjoying working that particular day.

As someone who enjoys reviews, it’s just hurting the already-sensitive situation when a biz gives “analysis” as to “why they’re employees aren’t doing the job they’re paid for.”

Biz responds to legit feedback with, “ My only answer is twofold: Maybe the staff had some personal trauma today, that because of some inexperience, they weren’t equipped to “leave it at home”. They had been mistreated during the evening and couldn’t shake the frustration.”

Definitely not helping how the business comes across to the public and prospective customers with this kind of “analysis”.

In either case, over the past few months, there’s been some legitimate complaints; Our experience mirrored some of this feedback; the next time we went over to Culver’s and had a better more upbeat...

Whits' Frozen Custard in Port St Lucie is an absolute GEM!!::) Not only does it have the best ice cream in town, it has the most personable and friendliest staff members/ workers I have ever encountered in the sunshine state!! Especially kind is Summer!! She brings a beam of sunshine to work everyday we come in , she greets my son by his name every time we get your delicious soft serve or wonderful flavor special of the day. Carmen, Aubrey and Ally as well as the newest member Christian and sorry - all others that work there for that matter- are also very nice to us. My son Alex has autism, is 24 years old and loves their over the top attention they provide serving him. It is not only. the best ice cream in town but also the family- like atmosphere that these wonderful staff members provide and what keeps us coming back.
