After a couple of years since we had ordered pizza from Massimo we decided to call in a pizza for delivery. I called the number for the Port St Lucie store on Darwin. My conversation went as follows. Phone rings "hello ". Hello is this Massimo Pizza? Yeah this is Massimo. I would like to order a pizza. Take out or delivery. Delivery. I place my order and the young lady asked for my card information. I give it to her then click. I was cut off. I told my husband my call must have dropped and I don't know if they got my information or not. I call back and no answer. I call again "hello". Who am I talking to. Massimo Pizza Port St Lucie. I was trying to place an order and was cut off. What can we get you. I want to confirm my order was placed. I was cut off when I was ordering. Also was curious that your menu showed $19.99 for the pizza I ordered and it's $26.59? Oh yeah that's correct with tax and fees. Click. Again hung up on. I placed my order at 7:23. At 8:05 I asked my husband should I call and ask why I don't have my pizza? He said no probably just backed up for a Saturday night. OK. 58 minutes after I placed my order it finally arrived. The box was cold. We only live 1.2 miles, 5 minutes from the store. We had ordered a medium deluxe pizza. Opened the box and the toppings were not only very scarce, but there were no mushrooms at all. The pizza was barely lukewarm and had sat so long it was stuck to the paper. Needless to say we will not be wasting our money on any more food from Massimo. Very unprofessional and extremely poor quality. I have attached pictures of the menu and my receipt.

Massimo is a friend of my BF who has invited us several times to check his restaurant out. We were totally blown away. We came by unannounced, just wanting to test out the menu without Massimo knowing ahead of time :) Our appetizer was one order of jalapeno poppers, pictured below, served with a side of marinara. They are the cheddar filled poppers, were cooked to order, arriving at our table piping hot! It took awhile for us to agree on our entrees because the menu is very enticing... we chose to share the chicken parmigiana stromboli and pizza steak hot sub. The BF is not normally a fan of chicken parmigiana but this stromboli blew him away! Hands down BEST italian I have ever eaten at a restaurant in the PSL area! The pizza steak was also yummy, but it was overshadowed by the out-of-this-world stromboli. BF followed this meal with a takeout slice of cheese pizza (everything was SO good, he just had to try the pizza)! For dessert, he choose the chocolate mousse (so deliciously rich and a perfect balance of creamy cocoa and just enough sweetness), I jumped at the opportunity to try his tiramisu (Heaven in a cup! Strong espresso, chilled to perfection, my favorite dessert... and where I am often disappointed I was hands-down impressed!). We plan to frequent this amazing cozy italian restaurant because the experience was so wonderful. Thank you Massimo and your lovely staff!šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

What in the big apple pizza did I just eat?!? Has Massimos recently gotten bought out or something? Just came a month ago and the pizza was classic and delicious as always, went to order today and it was completely different. I’ve been coming here for the last 10 years. Used to be the best in town. This is true loss for us and our community, as there are so few real NY style quality pizza joints in town. I love Massimos and couldn’t bring myself to give you guys a bad review but what is going on with the pizza?

This place has really gone down the drain. I must admit we haven’t been there in about 2 years. This used to be our go to pizza shop mainly because of the atmosphere and the location but the food was always mediocre. With the new pizza shops in town with better food, we simply stopped going there. My husband and I went to Massino’s a couple nights ago on a whim. It was about an hour before closing time and we were going to place a small to-go order. We walked up to the front counter and asked the young lady, if was okay if we placed a to go order since it was almost closing time. She said it was fine but if we dine in, we would only have 30 minutes to eat. We were not sure what we wanted so we read the menu. When my husband knew what he wanted he started to order. As soon as he was finished, the front desk lady looked at me and said ma’m and I said hold on, I’m still deciding on what I want to order. After about 10 seconds of staring at me, she said ma’m again, rudely trying to rush me. We ended up ordering two slices of pizza and 10 hot wings. We went home and the slices of pizza were tasted as they always have, mediocre and edible. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same as the wings. At first appearance the wings looked normal but when we brought it up to our mouths to take a bite, they smelled funky and they tasted not fresh. There was also a lot of hot sauce on them, I am assuming was put on them intentionally to mask the smell.

The only positive thing I can say about the food is that it cleared up my week long constipation, over night! So...

I order the same extra pepperoni and cheese stromboli every day for a month straight however, the ladies that work there are VERY rude and in my opinion racist the very first time i ordered there was a heavy set girl there that was rude and nasty over the phone in which i told the ā€˜manager’ which happens to be the owners brother in law to which i recieved my stromboli with raw pizza dough due to the carelessness of the employees fast forwarding to another time i recieved a stromboli with steak ,onions, and peppers when i got home and called them about it the lady argued me tooth and nail saying i dont know what im talking about maybe im mistaking the pepperonis for onions and being VERY rude over the phone. The last time i ordered i had the same heavyset girl answer the phone and she knows its me through my phone number and address and was more Nasty then a starving grizzly bear who got his first meal in 6 months in which i was rude as well i then go to the store and the ā€˜manager’ again the owners brother in law tells me she wasnt rude and he doesnt need my business! When the food is done right its DELICIOUS however, I think this establishment is very unprofessional my order has been messed up NUMEROUS times and then theyre nasty about it i can go as far as upload all the images of raw pizza dough that i have received from this place as well as video recordings of me walking in the store to disrespect HORRIBLE...
