so this is a story about door dash. I ordered my food via door dash a few weeks ago and it said about 30 to 45 minutes. 45 minutes go by and im wondering what's taking so long so I open the app and see the driver is still waiting for the order but then it starts saying looking for new driver. finds one and they make their way to the store and wait then it kicks it to another driver then another then another. im wondering what's going on so after the hour mark I finally call the restaurant. they tell me my order was stolen and I needed to cancel the order. we'll canceling my order would mean that I would only get 9 dollars back out of the 50 bucks I spent. they told me to cancel it and re order it and that they are not allowed to make new sandwiches for orders that are stolen. 1 why didn't they cancel the order sighting issues with the order so I didn't waste my time 2 if you know in good faith that it indeed was stolen why not make new sandwiches. they knew who i was all i had to do was say it was a door dash order for nick and then they told me it was stolen. idk if they hold their delivery orders behind the counter or on the counter but they should definitely make it harder for this to happen. other than this issue their food is good me and my wife enjoy it, it's just the service to the customer that needs to improve. oh and instead of reordering from them after I contacted door dash customer service to get my full refund I ordered jimmy John's instead. this experience has made me more cautious of ordering from them again...

Ordered sandwiches for delivery via the Capriotti’s app. After a long wait, the sandwiches never arrive but the app indicates that they’d been delivered. After phone calls back & forth with person in charge that night (Dale), we were even more frustrated. Apparently Caps has no idea how their app functions (so we were told) and we requested a refund as it’d been so long we had already made other dinner arrangements. We were told we’d receive a refund “as soon as he could figure out how to do that” but that never happened. Instead much later in the night 2 cold, hard, stale sandwiches arrive as we were heading off to bed. Three days later and we still have no refund. I won’t be contacting you to talk about how to “make things right” since you’ve already failed several times over at making that happen but I will dispute the charge with my bank and make sure to never return again. Please teach your people how the Capriotti’s app works. Instead of insisting it’s our fault for choosing a “bad delivery service”, you should know that YOUR OWN APP decides who delivers the food .Capriotti’s customers have NO CONTROL over who delivers. Tired of repeating myself...maybe open up the app and test for yourself? Lost a lifelong customer with garbage customer...
Read morei used to like this place but it has gotten bad. i tried to order a veggie turkey sandwich but i didn't hear until my door dasher was already there that they were out, i felt bad my driver was already there so i agreed to change to a different sandwich but it was gross, also ordered the impossible loaded fries that were meant to come with impossible ground beef, peppers mushrooms and cheese, but it was just cold impossible meat piled onto cold fries, no cheese or anything, so gross. photos of the fries i got vs. what was advertised. i messaged capriotti's via their website to complain and try and get my money back at least for the fries and they never responded. don't eat here. it was way too expensive and a complete let down. they've also sent me meat when i ordered vegetarian as well so be careful for that.
Editing to add more: The owner reached out to me after I posted this review and is taking steps to refund my order and make this right. It appears the feedback I sent through the app went to corporate and did not make it back to the store itself.
