Was over charged $40, told the cashier. She told me "well the order is already sent to the kitchen"....which I was confused cause she sent the wrong order to the kitchen. Then proceeds to tell me it's too late. As frustrating as it was, I gave up. I paid $60 for two la carte items & two drinks. First they gave our order to a group of teenagers& then realized it was ours& tried bringing it over to us after it sitting on the table for some time. Then as we get served, we get told the reason of the confusion is cause they are closed...even though we order before closing. We were just legit flabbergasted on how we were getting treated. I asked for my receipt 4 times and finally got it my 5th time requesting. It was WRONG but instead of fixing the problem. The cashier starts yelling at young server who was just as confused as us. I may not look Hispanic, but im fluent & allowed them to assume.
It was shameful& defeating. We just left.
If I could report them for forcing customer to pay for things they did not ask for, I would.
REPLY: I asked for the cashiers name, but they refused to tell me. When I asked, the server went mute& denied a name to me. I was there on April 3rd & 7:50. I was unaware of the closing time& would have much rather than told me they are closed at (7:50) and instead of giving me the most embarrassing service ever. The fact the woman cashier was yelling at the younger server about her on mistake but completely blamed us for her mistake...was nasty. It was an easy fix, but her ego& rush to close her register was her top priority. I would not ever feel comfortable going back to Cha Cha on Broadway because of the female cashier. So many places around..skip this one. Not worth at all being yelled at or spoken about directly in...
Read moreCha Cha Cha has been one of my staples for years. Sure, the food isn't the most flavorful, and it's a little spendy for Mexican . . . But they claim to use good ingredients, and they're clean and consistent, and they're everywhere - so it made sense to eat there. Over the past 10 years, two of my places of business have had a Cha Cha Cha down the street, so it's been a real handy go-to, and I've never had any complaints. The food and the service are agreeable, and the environment is nice.
Yesterday I went into my usual location for the first time since COVID, and I wasn't impressed. I tipped a couple bucks, so I paid out around $20 for four tacos. That’s about twice what I pay at my favorite taquerias in town, but I’d just gotten off work and I was real hungry, so I rolled with it. It took about 30 minutes for my tacos to come out (they weren’t even busy), and when I finally got them, they weren’t very warm. I had to stand in line again and ask for salsa - they didn’t offer any with the plate. I asked about chips, and they told me they charge $3.50 for a side of chips and salsa now . . . In a restaurant where I’m spending $20 for four lukewarm tacos and waiting a half hour for them to come out. One of the tacos I ordered was white fish, and I’m pretty sure it was tilapia. Call me old fashioned, but for $4.50 a taco, I feel like it should at least be cod.
I’m trying to be fair with this review, hence the three stars . . . But I’m not going to pay restaurant prices for painfully slow service, mediocre flavor, and no restaurant perks. I won’t...
Read moreFood is good, but the manager is something else. My partner and I were regulars at that point, tipped every time and we’re very nice. She came by slowly cleaning table outside until she was right next to us and said “just so you know, I forgot to ring up one cup of horchata so the order total will be different next time” in an obviously condescending tone. I ended up just giving her the $2 she forgot to ring up at the end because of this penny pincher attitude which she happily took with a nasty look on her face. Also one taco is $4.50 now which is literally the most expensive I have ever seen, if they were fancy tacos ok sure, but they’re literally one tortilla not even two like any other Mexican spot in the area. Also they didn’t update the menus. She reminds me of the old managers I had who did not care about customer service or their employees at ALL. I’ve never felt so disrespected and looked down upon. Don’t give them your money, go to any other food cart in town thats $2 per taco that they fill up nice n yummy because they care about more than stray pennies and dimes they could...
