I give 1 star for the location and 5 stars for the donut!! My raised glaze donut was delicious. I was craving a donut and happened to be driving past this donut shop. The outside looked sketchy, but I really wanted a donut. I walked inside the place and froze. It was in really bad shape. It was desperately in need of a deep cleaning. A man was inside and he actually kind of scared me because he seemed out of place. He just didn't look like he was there to make and sell donuts. Through my fear, the beautiful raised glaze donut whispered to me from the dirty donut tray. I told the man what I wanted and he walked behind the counter and put it in a bag, I ordered 2. I think my total was $2, which was super cheap. I thanked the man and left, completely creeped out. When I got in my car I pulled a glistening donut from my bag. I smelled it. It smelled like butter, sugar, vanilla and cream!! I looked it over. The donut was beautifully raised. It looked airy and firm with a glaze that shined like Cinderella's glass slipper. I was nervous, but I took a bite. Euphoria took over me!! I was floating on a Donut!! The donut was absolutely delicious!! I've had a donut from three different donut shops this week, I'm having an intense craving, and this was BY FAR the best tasting donut. I'm hopeful they owners put a little TLC into the shop and fix...

First impression was a little iffy. Walked in at 11:30 AM on a Monday and it was pretty dirty inside. I eat stuff off the ground so I don't really care but I'm sure other people do! There were also little fruit flies flying around INSIDE the donut counter landing on the donuts. (That's probably when I should have walked out.) Only one person working which was fine but they didn't seem like they knew what they were doing? I ask for a dozen and had to help the dude count the donuts. Then when I went to pay he just handed me the credit card machine and didn't tell me how much the total was. After I asked, it was $10, I had to type in my own total (I literally could have typed in anything and he wouldn't have known/cared.) and swiped my card. I love a good hole in the wall donut shop as much as the next person, but this one I don't think I'll ever go back to. It...

No one wants to go to a restaurant that runs out of food. Good food and okay donuts. Very wishy washy. You never know what kind of moods you are going to get. Sometimes people are nice and friendly, and sometimes you run into someone not so nice or accommodating. 50% of the time I have been treated kindly 50% of the times I have been here, I felt unwelcomed. The atmosphere could use a little improvement and cleanliness could greatly improve. I feel like I need to wash my hands after touching the tables or chairs. Maybe it's just the structure of the furniture. The kids are sweethearts in here helping their mother out. But points off due to poor hygiene of the place and manners. But points added for how kind and well mannered the children are....

The absolute best apple fritter I have ever had. This place is a hole in the wall, doesn't even really look open from the outside. Another reviewer gave a great description and we had to try it for ourselves. The other doughnuts were really good as well. From now on, when I think of doughnuts, I'll think of this place. Nothing fancy or gimmicky, just good old fashioned the way doughnuts should be. I'll admit that yes, sometimes I like my fancy gimmicky doughnuts, but this place is traditional and exactly how I imagine a traditional doughnut should taste.

This is a tiny donut shop that you might drive by since it's in a mostly residential neighborhood, but do not just drive by! Drive into the little adjacent parking lot, walk in, and order some of the most delicious donuts in PDX. The apple fritter is HUGE and perfectly crispy around the edges. All of the other donuts we tried were just as tasty. It's a good thing I live far away because I'd be in here almost every day. They're that yummy. And the owner is super nice and friendly. Go support this great local donut shop!

100% hands down the best donut that we have ever had. Don't be fooled by this place's appearance. It holds the most amazing and special gem of donuts in Portland. stop by say hi to the owner. He's one of the kindest and most welcoming men I've ever met. The apple fritters are insane and delicious. The donuts always seem to be hot and fresh. The price is beyond affordable. We are making it our weekly ritual to stop by donut Queen on Tuesdays!!!
