It's good pizza (the only reason it gets that second star), but every time I go I'm disappointed in the customer service. It also takes way too long to get your order. My most recent experience: I called to place a to go order, and when the guy picked up he told me to hold on, so I did. For eight minutes I kept yelling hello, I yodeled, I sang into the phone - nothing. Then I was hung up on! I called back and told the guy, and his response was, "Oh. What can I get you?" No apology, no "shoot my bad." They didn't even knock a couple bucks off as courtesy. I guess if you're not a cool kid or a regular you don't get the engaging service the same guy showed the couple at the bar. I work in customer service and I get that sometimes you have to have people wait, but maybe checking to see if they're still on the line or an "I'm sorry" goes a long way. Not going back, especially when I paid $32 and the pizza is not...
Read moreDespite there being fewer than 10 customers in the place, we waited an hour and a half (!) for our pizzas, one of which didn't contain a component ingredient listed right in the menu description "because the pizza baker couldn't find it." (The "Fremont" -- basil). Mine was swimming in a pool of grease, and if it contained any meatballs (it was supposed to feature them) they were invisible. This has to go down as our sorriest experience at a Portland pizzeria EVER, and we've had some sorry pizzas alongside the excellent ones. This place's business model has some grave flaws if it takes 90 minutes to produce a pizza. They should take the name "pizzeria" off their outer wall and their name. A nice watering hole with a full bar -- yes. Place to go for pizza -- NEVER. There are 160 better pizza places within the Portland city limits. I doubt that we'll ever return...
Read moreThe pizza was tasty! My partner and I came to celebrate our anniversary here since we had our first date here. A year ago we got slices, this time we got two whole 10" pies. My complaint is that the slices are way cheaper then a 10" pie. People usually order whole pies to save money and try different topping combinations, but they are wayyyy over priced. two 10" pies and tip cost $35 dollars. That's crazy. I'll never order a 10" pie again, they need to drop the prices drastically or take 10" pizzas off the menu, a total rip off!!! We had the Sweet and Spicy pie which was tasty, but lacked in sausage toppings and the pepperoni's could be better quality. Again $16 bucks in most pizzeria's will get one a 16/18" pie. Now we know how to order better next time we go back to Good...
