Marsee Baking — Restaurant in Portland

Delicious pastries!! Great for wholesale but not for personal use. I have even visited in a snow storm and they were open.

Despite having the best pastries, my experience is that they don't work with their customers. If you want to order only 2 maple bars you either buy half a dozen of them or you have to buy them already assorted with other donuts that you cannot choose or swap for others. I was also told I couldn't buy donuts individually. I wanted to get a half dozen with 2 bear claws, 2 maple bars, and 2 old fashioned. That doesn't seem difficult but they said they wouldn't do it.

It seems silly to not be able to choose which donuts you'd like in a half dozen when you're ordering over a week in advance and also purchasing 4+ loaves and 12+ muffins. Why would I buy a dozen donuts only to have my family enjoy about a third of them? You'd be better serving your customers if you made space for small ammendments to menu items.

Wow! Just wow!! I mean, did I say WOW? I went there specially for pumpkin pie. What i got was not just a pumpkin pie, it was a taste of absolute joy. Joy I say!
