25 mins for 2 breakfast sandwiches. Me and my fiancé are very kind and it was our first time going to this place! We order Double trouble and the basic breakfast sandwich. The worker was very rude when we asked a question and even got flushed in the face because he knew he was being rude. We just got over it and waited. I saw people come and go and come and go and then our buzzer went off. We walked up and they said that we got the wrong number and that our foods not done. We waited so long and received a small thrown together cold bagel. I had accurate hopes and desired a yummy bagel from this new place we’d never tried! We’re literally never going back and I would NEVER recommend. Honestly I’ll tell my family and friends to NOT go there so service really needs to get better. I even called in the morning and checked what there hours were since it’s Memorial Day weekend and they were rude. I asked “hi! What’s your hours look like? I just wanted to make sure you’re open since it’s a holiday weekend” and got back “ya we’re always open on Sunday. Same hours as normal” in such an annoyed defeated tone. I should’ve known by the call that this was going to be horrible service. I work in customer service and so my expectation is just that I don’t get taken advantage of or treated like I’m a problem. These standards are not...
Read moreTaste was ok, but unfortunately consistency was more bread-like, than boiled and baked bagel. Scallion cream cheese had a few specks of something, but no scallion flavor.
Owner, you don't need to travel to NYC to taste real boiled, then baked bagels; Henry Higgins or Ben and Esther's are just miles away.
Also, I was overcharged $1 on a $3.75 order. Ordered a bagel ($1.75), plus asked for a small container of cream cheese ($2.00) on the side. These are the prices posted on your sign. It wasn't what I received and wasn't what I was charged. Simple order, simple math eluded your 2 employees, just as producing the light crunch, golden outside eluded your baker.
I recognize each batch of bagels is hand made with critical steps, and each batch of cream cheese hand-mixed.
I later scrolled down and saw pictures where many of your bagels appeared to have a golden crust. Based on other peoples' reviews, I have to guess what I got is not representative of your bagel and...
Read moreI love puddletown bagels but the service at Cartlandia has been getting worse and worse with every visit.. Recently I ordered online and was told when I arrived that they needed an additional 5mins which is understandable but that turned into 10mins as one employee emerged from a “hotboxed” car wreaking like weed while the other employees are trying to hustle isn’t fair to the rest only the team or customers. Today I went and the cashier first didn’t acknowledge us, then really struggled to ring in 2 plain bagels toasted with spread (charged and refunded 2x).. then bagels weren’t even toasted when all said and done.. the owner is such a nice person and I feel like his team takes advantage of that kindness.. I know good help us hard to find but damn, good customers are going to be fading too with the level of service. Some of your staff are rockstars but there’s those few that are ruining it for...
