Rocket Breakfast — Restaurant in Portland

I absolutely love Rocket Breakfast!! Both times I’ve been they’ve been super friendly and patient while I asked lots of questions to help me decide what to order (I wanted everything on the menu). The first time I went I had the breakfast burrito. It was delicious and big enough to share. The flavors blend together well and the pico de gallo is flavorful, but not overpowering. The second time I went to Rocket, I brought my whole family. They happily accommodated our large group. My sister and I shared the open faced breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, tomato, and Gouda and the breakfast quesadilla. Both were amazing! Usually I prefer savory, but we wanted the lemon ricotta pancakes as a little dessert. Oh what a great choice; the lemon sauce was sweet but tangy! A perfect balance in my opinion. This pod is a serious hidden gem on Sandy. Don't sleep on this place. They've got some amazing breakfast! This time I had the breakfast wrap w/ turkey sausage and chili peppers added for flavor.

Okay, so first of all, I just finished working out and when he handed it to me I almost dropped it it was so much heavier than I ever imagined. Great first impression but what about the flavor? Nothing is worst than getting a large serving of bland food. Not the case here! First bite was packed with sausage, Pico, egg, cheese the list goes on. Next bite I got done chili flakes and had tossed some Cholula on there and it was game on! This thing was GOOD and I had so much left. About 3/4 off the way done it won't from breakfast into a self challenge too see if I could finish the thing. I didn't want to waste any b/c it was so good but the wrap was even bigger than I thought.

I should've gone with the breakfast wrap. I got the combo #2 and I wasn't disappointed but it wasn't the greatest thing ever. It was still very good though! I am full and I tipped the staff! They were very nice, and happy to recommend what to get. I wanted a variety platter to try everything essentially but the combo #2 was the best fit. The open faced sandwich was good. In other reviews it seemed like it got half good and have bad reviews. The French toast sticks were the ham egg and scallion, Nutella strawberry and bacon. Those were good too! Although yhe portions seemed smaller compared to what I payed, I am full. I would come here again to try the breakfast wrap though!! Also, GREAT location. Did I mention the very kind staff?
