Shorba Arabic food — Restaurant in Portland

SO GOOD!!! Such a hidden gem. We got the chicken and the beef saj and it was so insanely good. Genuinely best arab food ive ever had in Portland. The chicken saj was so juicy and I got the spicy option which was just right. The veggies in both were so good as well, didnt feel like just scraps they threw in there like some other places do. The beef is delicious and clearly fresh. He also gave us free water bottles and insisted we dont pay for them on such a hot day. Great mom and pop...

The best falafel I've had in Portland, so fresh, with the perfect crispness. None of that hard, dry falafel here! I've gotten the veggie mezze plate, falafel plate, sandwich and saj - you can't go wrong! At my last visit the owner also gave me a taste of a tamarind drink he might sell and it was amazing. Definitely get it if he's got it.

Also, if you're worried about a table, there's a nice public plaza a few blocks down next to Bipartisan Cafe. It's a great spot...

There are a lot of food carts in the city of Portland and thus an array of choices. But I feel quite confident saying that this is absolutely one of the best, I can safely say you really aren't gonna find a better falafel, at least of any of the places I've been to (and that includes NYC falafel). Seriously, I absolutely recommend Shorba Arabic to anyone who's looking for both amazing and inexpensive food. 100% you gotta give this...
