I love this park!!! I've spent a lot of time at Montauk Park, and I love taking my dogs there to play in the big field area. The pros are location, it's not too busy, good people frequent it, and the parks department employees have always been professional and kind hearted. The cons are are the covered picnic tables have been fenced off because people misused and abused the privilege, and the busy streets in 2 sides of the park (Grisham & 82nd Ave.) Overall it holds many good memories for me.

My kids and I enjoy this park. It's got some decent equipment, including a tire swing, which you don't see often anymore. The biggest turn-off is the homeless population, which gravitates to the usually empty parking lot by the community center. In the hot months, the pool opens up. It's a nice way to cool off with the kids.

Great park, good equipment, and always friendly people. It got a bit gross for a while and I stopped going there. To many issues with things I'm the playground that are not safe. However it does seem to be getting better.

A year and a half after my kid attended Parks & Recreations summer camp at the Montavilla location, I received a bill in the mail stating that I owed almost $500 in unpaid camp dues. I called and explained that I was on automatic payment and all of my payments were automatically paid weekly via my CC....I made sure of it! They claimed to not have any record of payment and Id be sent to collections if not paid for in 30 days...(Period). My online CC statements only went back 1 year as well as there online payment portal system. For whatever reason I luckily downloaded the online payment receipts at the end of summer camp and was able to provide proof of payment. BEWARE and SAVE your receipts, they are shady & looking to makeup for slow business...we...

This community center has a huge park with a playground & drinking fountain. There's an outdoor pool that's open in the summer. During the school year there's an "indoor playground" in the basketball court where they drag a bunch of children's toys out for kids under 5 to play with (including a trampoline & bouncy castle on select days). The disadvantage is that it's older and smaller than other centers, and the parking lot is small and difficult to turn left out of.

They used to have a large covered picnic area next to the playground but it was removed after it became a magnet for...

We take our kids here pretty often since we live within walking distance. The kids love this park. There's a playground, soccer field and baseball field. A few park tables with benches are available. The only negatives are the park is at the corner of a busy intersection and there is trash at times. When it's rainy a few homeless people camp out in the covered table area next to the playground so you can't really plan to have any events there. Also, keep an eye on what your child might pick up from the ground. My husband found what appeared to be a drug needle on the ground...
