Wow. What a bunch of miserable A-holes. Worst experience ever. No personality, no professionalism. I would suggest that maybe the owner beats his associates, except that would require a spine. The inmates clearly run this prison, but with a serious lack of competence or pride. I knew we were off to a bad start when I had to repeat myself several times while giving my order at the drive-thru. Had I known how incredibly wrong the order would actually be, I would have drove off right then and there. When I pulled up, inmate #56772-1 opens the window and simply says, "$18." I hand her a $20 and she snags quickly, like she tricked me or something. The window closes. It stayed closed for several minutes. I could see my soda on the other side, but not a single human. The owner was the first to reappear and he handed me my soda, but said nothing. I felt like I had just shown up right after a heated argument. It was awkward. When inmate #56772-1 returned, she handed me a mangled pile of greasy bags. I know I should have immediately inspected my order, but I was afraid that I would be asking for a beatdown, either from the inmates or from the fast-forming cluster of cars behind me, who most likely thought I was the reason why we were all waiting here so long. When I got home and checked my bags, the order was almost completely wrong. I got mayo when I asked for none. The store had only been opened for 45 minutes, but the fries were probably kicking around for at least 24 hours and 45 minutes. Oh and they were a medium, when I paid for a large. The burger was not hot, yet it was overcooked. The only good part of the order was the soda. But that's probably because it's the only item no one had a part in producing. This location, in Westbrook, Maine, is the absolute worst. And I'm not judging my opinion on a single experience, I'm judging it based on their consistently, and amazingly, bad performances. No matter how many times the staff changes, they somehow manage to replenish the crew with the same caliber of useless, hopeless "humans". Consider my vote for higher fast-food...
Read moreFirst time that I have been to this location and will not return. My boyfriend and I were in line behind another couple waiting to order our dinner. The couples order was taken but ours was not. A few people came in to get virtual orders then left and the couple in front of us got their order and left all the while my boyfriend and myself were standing in front of the register waiting to order. It was clear to me that we were being ignored when the manager that was taking the orders began stocking the straws.. When the manager was stocking the straws there were no orders on the screen (we had full view of the kitchen and could see the order screens) so there is absolutely no reason any customer should be being ignored. Clearly if you want to eat in at this location you will be ignored because this staff does not take the time to serve the customers right in front of their face. We went out to the drive through and got our order taken, paid, and got our order in less time than the time that we were being blatantly ignored inside the restaurant (10-15 minutes). The service here is terrible. I have worked in fast food before and I was the only person taking the orders making them and handing them out to the customers. I was able to do this in less time than I was being made to wait. These staff members need more customer service training because if you're paying more attention to a screen giving you the orders rather than the people in your cafe then you clearly don't care about...
Read moreThe take-out service here has really gone down hill since last year. FOLLOW-UP POST -- 10/8/14: Based on her friend's choice, my daughter went here again today (10/8/14) and AGAIN Wendy's screwed up the order. She ordered one of their new pulled pork cheeseburgers and just got pulled pork without the cheeseburger. Not only that, but the coleslaw topping was slapped on the extreme edge of the sandwich -- almost like an afterthought -- so most of it fell off into the cardboard container. I think I am going to contact Wendy's corporate office and complain because the quality has dipped even lower than before. ORIGINAL POST (in or about 9/2014): My family and I have visited this Wendy's perhaps 9 or 10 times since December. On each time but one, they missed something in the order. It doesn't matter what time you visit, either. Last night, my Asian Cashew Salad didn't come with the cashews -- it was just chicken pieces in some vegetables. Another time, my Taco Salad didn't come with main ingredient -- the chili. You can also totally forget the plastic eating utensils and napkins ever being included with any of the take-out orders as well. My family and I have always eaten here because of the taste of the food and the close approximation to our home, but we're at the point now of patronizing Burger King and McDonald's over Wendy's because we're sick and tired of our orders always...
