$2 tap water! 😡 Melissa charged my husband $2 for tap water. My kids told me what happened so I went up there after church. A nice lady who works at Burger King told me that Melissa charges customers $2 for tap water eventhough she can use the water cup and charge 25 cents. My husband didn't ask for a big cup, just a cup of water. The nice lady gave me a bottle of water because i told her that on the screen it actually said "bottled water" but my husband never even got a bottle. I really appreciate her doing that. It wasn't a mistake...Melissa habitually rings it up as bottled water and gives tap water in a big cup to customers. The nice lady also gave me the owners name. I'm torn because I've gone to this BK since 2003 and only had a problem once or twice at max. So today was very irritating. Melissa got my husband's order wrong at first, which is ok because we all make honest mistakes but then she had an attitude when my husband told her about the error. When my husband asked for the new total, she said $8.36. My husband got a 2 for $5. So my husband asked her why the total was so high and whether the tap water was $2. She never answered him but kept repeating $8.36 over and over again. Charging a customer $1.75 more than necessary is mean-spirited. The nice lady said that Melissa has worked for BK for many years but transferred over there and started charging more for tap water than what a bottle water costs. Noone else does that she says. Then inside they have this poor girl on the register that wasnt trained and I felt like the manager didnt care to help her. They didnt give me my drink so i had to ask for it. I dont know if this is what they normally do or they just did it because they forgot to give me the drink but they gave me the option of filling the drink myself instead of giving me the filled drink because I was carrying out. If that's normal then I'm fine with that but I go around the side to fill the drink and the machine is broken. I tell the person and instead of offering to help me the guy just asks me if I said ok on the button. I go back to the machine still doesn't work. The manager fills my cup up and does apologize but the way that this place is run is horrible. I understand that you are busy but customer service should still be a priority.
