I've been a Portsmouth resident for a long time now so believe me when I say this is one of the most charming places in town! The dining area isn't the largest but what it lacks in space it makes up for in heart.

I went with my brother and a few friends and we sat down to dinner. My brother and myself shared a check and even though we purchased two drinks, a 12oz stake (w/salad, mashed potatos, and fried veggies), loaded potatoes skins, a corn beef ruben, (w/ cole slaw and fries), we only spent about 35 dollars. All the while the help was friendly and very prompt. They were constantly clearing dishes from our table, refilling drinks, checking on us, ect.

Upon entering the restaurant your eyes are greeted with a massive display case with a full array of pastries, cakes, and buckeyes, (an ohio favorite). Your ears are greeted by a talented gentlemen playing all manor of golden oldies on his keyboard. Your nose will quickly latch onto any of the excellent dishes other patrons are already working on.

The restaurant was a buzz with warm faces and families who you could easily tell were happy regulars. The pianist greeted people by name with a warm smile, never missing a beat on his keyboard. He even went out of his way to talk to us personally, cracking lighthearted jokes, making friendly conversation, and taking requests. I would very much recommend. This place was an absolute joke. I came in with my sister and grandma. I got the fried pork chops fries and Mac and cheese. The pork chop was more fat than meat the fries were cold and tasted freezer burnt and the Mac and cheese was dry crunchy and burnt. My grandma ordered the chicken Parmesan described as "Fried chicken breast smothered with sauce and provolone cheese on a heap of spaghetti" she took this as it had a cheese sauce. when it came out with red sauce full of onions and peppers which she can not have we told the waitress she can't have that and asked for a menu so she could order something else and asked them to take that back. She was very rude and said I can ask him but he's not gonna take it off. She boxed it up and brought it back and said he wouldn't take it off. We asked to talk to the manager and she said I can ask but he probably won't come out. He never came out and she never came back except to give us the check. The food was mediocre at best and the service was the worst I have ever experienced. I have never been to a restaurant where a manager won't come talk to a customer and where they won't take back a dish! Especially one a person CAN NOT EAT! Absolutely ridiculous we will never be going back and I encourage everyone to not waste your time...

My bf wanted to try this place today it was very expensive$79.85 for a order of cheese sticks a 2piece chicken breast meal with mashed potatoes and gravy mind you the gravy wasn't heated up it was cold and jellyfied I ordered a chicken liver meal with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes gravy was cold and jellyfied on mine too livers were tasteless no seasoning in the breading my daughter got loaded potatoe skin's they were tasteless no seasoning hardly any cheese or toppings ordered coconut cream pie it was jellyfied and more like marshmallows then pie and completelythe most tasteless pie I've ever had I was very disappointed and not happy about the amount I was charged for this food it was not worth $79.85 cents for this tasteless sloppy food it was quite gross 🤢🤮 I do not intend to ever go back here and do not recommend you or your family this horrible high priced sloppy experience hell a tv dinner from save alot would be more delicious and tasty 😋 compared to this slop and charging $79.85cents damn just for a little more cash I could have eaten at a fine dining restaurant so PLEASE do not go here if you want tasteless overpriced meals that suck ass!
