So after a family day at the children’s museum on Saturday March 16,2019 we decided to stop by this place due to the good reviews & pictures they had. We were optimistic and excited to feast upon some good looking sandwiches. Keep in mind I am pregnant, so I saw and then wanted. ha! We get here and immediately feel weird cause we do not know if its open or not lols. We normally dont eat out in portsmouth since moving here last August. We get inside and sit ourselves down. No one says anything to us for 7 mins and we just look around wondering are we really here? I have a 11 month old so we tried to entertain him with an ipad and netflix. So now we are on borrowed time lols and this does not look good. Finally a server comes dressed in green and greets us. She was friendly but then the conversation turned very awkward by her talking non stop. We tried to be polite and order but she kept talking about her son. So lols we finally get our order in (we think) and 15 mins later get our drinks. Lols we have now been here for 20 mins with no food and just got our drinks. Now i can be over exaggerating but it was a long time so maybe like 13 mins or around there. Anyways she comes back in 10 mins saying “what would we like to order” now I am irritated. We retell her since she forgot to write down our order. Now to give her some credit she was the only server with about 10 people or so in the lounge. So we gave her more patience thats why we stayed so long cause as people who have previously worked in the food industry we understand. But still no excuse for why she did not write our order down the first time maybe if she wasn’t talking so much we would have avoided this issue. So we wait some more and the 11 month old & pregnant lady being me are now restless. 5 mins or so pass and another server comes in. GET THIS! Says to other patrons how the printer in the kitchen is not working so she needs to retake orders. I told my husband if she came our way we were leaving because now we have been here for 30 mins without ANY FOOD. And how hard is it to just run to the kitchen and retell orders ? Ive done that numerous times when we had situations like this. How you forget everyones order? The poor girl who just came in had to take the brute of everyones frustration because we all had been there for a long time waiting. WHICH HOW IT JUST GOES OUT NOW when we had BEEN THERE FOR 30 mins!!!! So she comes to us while other people are walking out. She says the faithful words and I say we are leaving im sorry that you have to hear the frustrations. She apologized and we packed the baby up and left. Highly disappointed and extremely irritated we had to find a new place to eat after waiting a total of 40 minutes at this place.

Never coming here again and never telling anyone...

Im soooooo disappointed with the food and the way its changing and not for the better either !!! First the wings and now the Volcano Shrimp which are my favorite. I ordered them this past Friday, October 20, 2017 and I was appalled and disgusted... I am so angry that I spent my money on them.. They were AWFUL!!!!!! The shrimp were little tiny popcorn shrimp with a bunch of breading on them... I had to eat all this greasey breading to get to a shrimp.. 😲 They use to be big plump shrimp and a very light breading.. What happened ? No I didnt try to talk to anyone in management because the unprofessional short white girl that's the bartender wont let you speak to anyone in management or the cook .. I guess she owns the place ?!???? So after years of being a patron of Griffs Sports Bar I have finally decided to stop.. I cant take it anymore .. The FOOD is the only reason I went there so now that the food is a hot mess and I do mean a hot...

I have been a proud patron of this restaurant for 6 years, Wednesday Wing Day. My entire office (Doud Realty Services, Inc) participates, and today I went to call in an order and was told that we can no longer call in the order, we either have to come in and order it or for dash it. This infuriates me because my office is only one block away. If I wanted to for dash something I would not order from this restaurant, I would order from somewhere further away. It is raining today, and I do not want to walk in the rain to order food and then go back to pick it up. I guess my staff and I will not longer be doing...
