Portsmouth Welcome Center — Attraction in Portsmouth

My first visit to the welcome center, I was unable to purchase anything from the gift shop because the woman working there was completely incompetent. She didn't know how to operate the register, and asked if I could come back later after she was relieved for the day by the next attendent. She said she somehow locked the system without knowing how she did it. Very disappointed, as I grew up in the area and am moving soon and wanted something to remember the city by. You haven't been officially welcomed till you stop here!!! The ladies here are very welcoming and have GREAT suggestions on things to do if you are new to town!!!! Also check out the paintings in the lobby, they tell so much of Portsmouth's history. Also a great place to pickup gifts that will make everyone on your list happy no matter what...
