I'm pretty bummed out to be leaving a negative review because my family and I have LOVED Cafe Rio locations elsewhere for years! But, I don't think I'll be returning to this location if in the area again. The guy that started our order seemed annoyed to even be there. The guacamole on two of our meals was literally spoiled and ruined that whole section of our bowls. The limes added in our neals were all brown on over half each wedge. The lettuce pieces on the salads were huge and hard to eat. The house dressing was incredibly runny. Lastly, both the horchata and the cucumber limeade were incredibly watered down. We ordered our food to go and don't live in the area. So, we didn't get a chance to realize how much was wrong until we got home. Taking the food back (something we would very rarely ever consider doing) was not option for us. As someone who's been going to Cafe Rio for years, I am aware of their good food elsewhere. If this was our first time trying Cafe Rio, I don't think I'd visit any location again. I'll just be sticking to other locations...
Read moreThe first two times we visited right after they opened were very pleasant. Everyone was on their A game, super friendly, going out of their way to be helpful, as is normal for a just-opening store. The true test is if they can maintain that kind of service and atmosphere.

I was shocked they served it looking like this. I asked for more and they said it would be 5-10 mins for fresh guac. Finally we finished our meal and was getting ready to head out when they brought a small cup to our table and asked if we still wanted it. Uh, no. We're finished now. No apology, no offer to make it better, nothing. Just a stark difference from opening service. Not sure we...
Read moreCafe Rio Stateline has a good accessible location, good operating hours, excellent staff and management, experience and atmosphere with employees and eating/ordering space is upbeat, positive, energetic, organized, and has a good flow! The build-a-meal style menu, like subway or panda express, or mod pizza, although initially confusing being associated with mexican food in this area, allows for a diverse array of tastes and desires! If it gets overwhelming all you have to do is mention a basic mexican food type like quasadilla or burrito or whatever and they will take you through the process from there. I forgot that I had Cafe Rio before, its been a while, but its great to have one in this area!!! The staff at this one is was excellent in...
