Tornetta's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Pottstown

Tonight I ordered delivery pretty late, but still within their delivery time. I was ordering for my husband who was working long hours this week and the food would’ve sat in the fridge until he got home anyway. (I know, bad wifey to not cook for my man 😂). I wasn’t paying any attention to the delivery time, but when they came with the delivery, they explained that their driver broke down and AAA had to come with this that and the other thing. The bag with my food was slightly rained on, which is not a problem because well, it’s raining out. Bottom line, they said that the food was on them because it took long and the bag was wet, and my cold hoagie might’ve been warm from the hot hoagie and/or vida versa. The driver couldn’t have apologized more.

To me, giving us that order for free was above and beyond. I was more concerned that the driver got his tip I put on the order. Honestly, at any temperature, their food is amazing. This is where small business excels above all. They recognized that their food may not be up to their standards and the delivery took a little longer than normal, so they rectified the situation. I was already a fan of their food and friendly staff, but this courtesy truly impressed me.

This is a great pizza place! I was passing through Pottstown and I was hungry. I usually go to the hotdog shop in downtown Pottstown, but I knew they would be closed before I got there. So I found this place on Google Maps and decided to try it. I certainly chose well. The staff was friendly and the decor was nice. The place has old black & white photos of random people from long ago. The photo right next to where I was sitting was of a couple who reminded me of a photo I have of my Italian great great-grandparents from Abruzzo. As for the food... That was so far the best pizza that I have had outside of New Jersey. I ordered the "Hot Jawn" and it did not disappoint. I ate half of my pie. The roasted Italian long hots were just the right heat and with the hot honey, the sweet heat blended so well with the well done crust and garlic tinged tang of the tomato sauce. tornettas has always been one of my family's favorite restaurants to gather to when we all get together for a reasonable priced meal we all can afford. The prices are good and the quality of the food is wonderful. Also the service is usually for the most part ok. The only issue I would have to say would have to be the seating. The seating sucks in there. There isn't much indoor seating at all ,and the only little bit there is , is so close together you can bearly move without bumping into somebody else eating. They do have a nice patio out front that they seat people in however due to the weather it is a little inappropriate to be eating with your family outside in the cold especially when you have younger children like myself. Also there isn't any room for larger parties which sucks because the food is really good and would be Excellent for like a Graduation celebration...
