Unprofessional and Rude Experience at Opening Time
I’m honestly shocked at the level of rudeness I just experienced at this Starbucks. I placed a mobile order like I always do, and when I pulled up to the window, the barista immediately hit me with attitude, saying, “Next time, can you wait five minutes before driving up? We need time to do our routine.” Um, what? It’s not my responsibility to time my arrival around your behind-the-scenes workflow—especially when there’s no signage or app instruction telling me to do so.
Then, instead of a friendly handoff, my drink was practically tossed at me through the window. I also ordered a coffee cake and asked for some water, and the eye-roll I got in response made it clear that customer service was not on the menu this morning. As if that wasn’t enough, I could hear her and others inside complaining about me for simply arriving when my order said it would be ready.
If you’re not ready to serve customers when your store opens, don’t open the mobile ordering system. Don’t take it out on people who are just trying to get their morning started. A little professionalism goes a long way, and sadly, it was nowhere to be...
