The Gravy Train — Restaurant in Powell

We stopped by The Gravy Train for their soft opening and it did not disappoint! I had The Conductor, and the biscuits and gravy were absolutely phenomenal — melt-in-your-mouth biscuits smothered in perfectly seasoned gravy. The home fries were cooked to perfection — crispy on the outside and tender inside.

My kids ordered The Lil Pancake, and they ate every single bite (which never happens!). The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and even though there was a bit of a wait while they worked through their new concept, it was well worth it.

Ate here for first time today. Not gonna say it was horrible but not gonna say it was great. Maybe growing pains while place transitions from burgers to breakfast. Was just not overly impressed with anything. My omelet was overcooked. Brother in laws over medium eggs were well done and not edible at all. Best biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, and omelette! Unfortunately they were very busy and we waited over an hour for our food. Several families left because they got tired of waiting and one family had an appointment they had to get to, they were waiting 1 1/2 hours. BUSY BUSY on a Saturday plus very unorganized for sure!
